The food was average. The stew was so strong on cinnamon and cloves that couldn’t taste anything else. Raw mango curry was very chilly - no other taste. Wayanad chicken curry was water and dry chicken. The tasting menu of Malabar was good, the chicken and mussels and the fish curry were good. I wouldn’t go here for anything Main course maybe. Definitely not the best food I have had.

Excellent service, but didn't like the flavour of Appam, Mutton curry and Ethakka appam. Loved the Kanthari items though

Everything was average! Service 1/5 - no clue what they’re up to. Zero understanding of the menu. Food is not at all worth it. Have had better food in other restaurants in bangalore itself!

Overrated, overpriced and extremely disappointing. We came here for lunch expecting to spend around ₹2,000–₹2,500 for two people. Instead, we left paying over ₹5,000, and the biggest reason was how the staff handled our order. We asked for a fish recommendation because we aren't regular fish eaters. The menu listed the fish at ₹550 per 100g, but when the server recommended a 400g fish, she never clearly explained that it would cost over ₹2,200. We simply wanted to try a fish dish, not order a fish that cost almost as much as the budget for our entire meal. Had the total price been made clear, we would never have ordered it. The service was relentless. We were constantly steered toward expensive items, and it felt like increasing the bill was a bigger priority than looking after customers. Multiple staff members asked if we wanted dessert even after we'd already ordered dessert, and after finishing it, we were asked again if we wanted to order more. The staff didn't seem coordinated, and the experience felt more like a sales pitch than genuine hospitality. The food itself didn't justify the prices. The calamari was overly oily and smothered in chilli with very little flavor beyond the heat. The fish was the same—lots of spice, not much balance. Portions were small, and overall the food simply wasn't worth what we paid. When we explained the situation to the manager, the only solution offered was removing the dessert from the bill. That did little to address the actual problem. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience genuinely left us feeling misled and disappointed. We won't be returning, and I can't recommend this restaurant. In my opinion, it's overrated, overpriced, and far more focused on upselling than on providing good hospitality. There are much better places to spend your money.
