Visited the Delhi place off and on,and went with high expectations. The Captains were inhospitable,and unfriendly. For a restaurant with a reputation, what was really disappointing is a con they pulled on us,which was only visible after the bill was given: Right at Shorba order,which is featured on the menu at Rs.200 and 240 per serving,the Captain said the Shorba is too diluted,so he'd give a Paya soup instead-which DOESN'T feature on the Menu,and is priced at 480 a piece! Post that,he was pushing us to order more portions,as he said the ordered servings won't suffice for 8 people. We gave in,and had to parcel the extra rest! And,the food is not cheap. Lastly,they had added Rs.714,as Service Charge-so I asked for it to be removed. The Captain said it's mentioned on the Menu Card,and is irreversible and mandatory. Now I know why the unfriendly demeanor-he's expecting the fight at the end,as a lot of reviews show similar complaints. I told him it's illegal. But,he refused to remove it,and we left on a sour note. Not what you'd expect from a long-standing,reputed (read:overhyped) name.

I had worst experience with this restaurant, I ordered tandoori chicken tikka, they delivered it via zomato platform. The chicken was taken from leftover food from other customers who left the food. Those chicken pieces they did tandoori and sent, I found food grains and left over pieces in parcel. When I gave complaint to zomato customer care no solution been provided nor refunded my amout, they took restaurant person in call and he accepted the fact that it was left over and served. I suggest never ever visit or order from this restaurant to save your and family health.

As usual franchise ruin the original quality. We ordered malai chicken tikka which was okay and Biriyani which was super spicey and not at all like the Delhi Biriyani. With this bad experience when I asked to remove service charge of 250 rupees they argued that it’s what the junior staff gets as if they don’t pay their junior staff. He even got his manager who also insisted on paying service charge. I anyway got it removed and ensure I don’t visit this place ever again. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

Overinflated prices… food was average .. mutton Sheela was good… but average on Chicken chengazi and nans… mala in chicken was very semi gravy type …. they are charging additional 50 rupees for gas and 7% service charge … which they will not remove upon request … for a big brand these cheap things bring the reputation down… never going again …

The ambience is good, but the food was disappointing. We tried their chicken handi, and it was the worst chicken handi I’ve ever had. We also ordered butter naan and shahi tukda, which were just okay, but the hara bhara kebab was very bad.

Very poor service. Food came after 40 mins of ordering. Few items came to the table after we finished eating. They purposely add service charge and make you pay.
