I have very little exposure to the delicious Coastal Karnataka cuisine, from the region comprising mangalore and around. The first time I sat down for a proper Mangalorean meal was in Searock years ago, where a fellow foodie took me through some of the key highlights of the cuisine. Recently I discovered that BIL loves Mangalorean cuisine and we both enjoyed the cuisine in a few places across Mysore & Coorg in our year end trip. After returning I was craving for some in Namma Bengaluru. That’s when I got to know about Kinara Kitchen. I got excited and tried them out recently and I loved the offering, here’s a quick share on what I indulged there. Crab Soup Prawns Gheeroast with Neer Dose Kundapur Chicken with (Kori) Rotti Andhra Style Chicken Dum Biryani Started off with the crab soup, which started as a slight disappointment not because of the taste, but I was expecting a natti style thin soup, but what I got was a delicious chinese style hot and sour soup that was fabulous, with broken crab claws for easy access to the meat. It was a very well made soup and packed a punch in terms of heat. The Prawn Gheeroast can only be described in one way, absolute perfection. There is nothing more that I can say to describe the beautifully succulent prawns cooked in a beautiful ghee roast masala with an overload of ghee and finished off with some more ghee. The punch flavours took me on a short trip to Mangalore and it is something that you need to come back here to experience again and again. I enjoyed it with Neer Dose, but in a multicuisine restaurant like this, the options to pair are endless, so go wild and go crazy. The Kundapur chicken again is a beautifully crafted one, especially with the Rotti. Usually in Mangalorean cuisine, the usage of dry coconut sometimes can be overpowering, it is that fine balance of the spice that has to overpower that strong pungency of the koppara, the dry coconut. The Chef here manages to achieve this perfection, that I would thoroughly enjoy the meal. I could only get a hint of koppara, if any, when the curry had become slighly cold by the end of the meal. I probably have discovered the best way to eat a Rotti here, which you must have seen in my Reels. After pouring over the Kundapur Chicken gravy on the Rotti, I gave it about 30 seconds which let the rotti soak in the gravy and go from hard to a slightly crispy dosa like consistency and that is the perfect time to take a bit and gobble all the goodness, it was pure addiction, I could not help myself to stop. I missed seeing my favourite coastal rice items on the menu, the Palak Rice and Dal Kichidi, so I had ordered the Andhra style Chicken Dum biryani which was surprisingly a very decent version, especially when it comes at a price point of 149, the quantity and the quality of the single piece of meat you get is total value. While I did not have space for desserts, the options here aren't many as well, as they promise to introduce more. #apjprecommends Kinara Kitchen and though is a sit down space, reminding me of the famed Searock do visit to experience other coastal Karnataka delicacies, though the wide multi cuisine menu offers something for the entire family, from Chinese to Andhra & North Indian Tandoor. You can also order from them via Swiggy & Zomato

Kinara kitchen is the newest joint for awesome coastal food in Bangalore. It is located opposite to Central Mall Bellandur , on 1st floor. The ambiance of that place is really wonderful, not only they utilized the space effectively but the staff they kept are also very helpful. The service is lightening fast. Being a bong, I satiated my love for fish here. Coming to food, I loved their following super scrumptious dishes: 🍱 Anjal Tawa Fry - Perfectly tawa fried Seer fish marinated with authentic spices. The masala paste coating the fish is undertoned with spicy and sour flavours. Contrary to the crisp outer layer, the flesh inside is moist and juicy. This dish bursts with flavours as the spices gives out such a striking aroma and flavour. A must have. 🍱 Pomfret Masala - A large size fresh pomfret cooked in a spicy and tangy spice mix ready to make its way to the stomach. The masala and tanginess does not overpower the taste of fish, they fuses with it beautifully. 🍱 Prawn Ghee Roast - Prawn cooked in ghee along with roasted spices and cashew is pure bliss. The flavour of ghee oozes out in every bite, the cashews add sweet notes to balance the flavour of prawn saddled with masalas, encoats every pore of the tastebud. A must have here. 🍱 Chicken Sukka & Neer Dose What bliss to have this, the chicken cooked to perfection in a mixture of roasted spices and coconut. The bisi bisi Neer Dose is a perfect combo to this. Smooth texture of dosa makes a solid partnership with the flamboyance of sukka. Don't miss this here. 🍱 Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani This was a pleasant surprise for me, the flavour of Hyderabadi style biriyani is spot on, biriyani has that spice level, nongreasy texture and meaty leg pieces. One regular bowl is more than sufficient for one person. Try it out. Overall Food - 10/10 Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 9/10 Value for Money - 9/10

In search of delicious ghee roast I reached this place via maps. This restaurant is one of the newest in town and known for coastal cuisine! The food is delicious and the location is great right opposite Bellandur central mall, lots of dishes are found in the menu. Personally loved the Tandoori pomfret and the paneer ghee roast!! Great and tasty 😍😋. Service was quick, no delays or wait time. Staff was polite and had knowledge of the dishes. Comfortable, clean, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect family restaurant 👌

This is a good restaurant. Located in belandur on the first floor, this multi cuisine restaurant serves good food They also do home delivery. I liked their menu options a lot. Tasted fish starter and egg biryani. I ended my meal with a delicious dessert. If you are a fan of mocktails, then they have good but limited options available .
