I’m honestly surprised this restaurant in the JP Nagar area—tucked inside a mall—isn’t more widely known. The ambience is clean and pleasant, and what really stands out is the staff: polite, friendly, and attentive throughout the visit. We started with their breakfast menu. The pudi masala dosa and pudi butter masala dosa were simple yet absolutely delicious 🤤. If you’re looking for a healthier option, the millet pongal is a great pick—it had freshly grated coconut mixed in, which elevated the flavor and paired beautifully with the sides. Moving on to the North Indian menu, we tried the stuffed papad roll and thread paneer as starters. Both were well-prepared and not overly oily. The papad roll, in particular, was unique—I haven’t come across it in many Bangalore restaurants. For the main course, we had roti with raja rani gravy—a nice combination of veg gravy and paneer gravy—and balti paneer, which was well-balanced and flavorful. In beverages, we tried the berry lime soda and tropical bliss, both refreshing and nicely balanced. To finish, we had desserts: gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream, which was spot on, and badam halwa, which was also quite good. Overall, a great dining experience with tasty food, good service, and a calm ambience—definitely a hidden gem worth exploring.

The authentic taste, mouthwatering veg cuisine, warm soothing ambience, and very cooperative staff, makes Konark a must visit restaurant in JP Nagar, mantri junction mall. From starters to desserts, we had noodle soup, kung-fu mushroom, stuffed rolled papad, tawa paneer, masala Butter Kulcha, onion Butter Roti, lachha biryani, berry Lime Soda and Chocolate Blockbuster, all were super delicious and perfect blend of flavours. They use no food colours or MSG. They make their own spices from raw materials. Also, they have been quite popular since 1985. Definitely, a thumbs up, we had a lot of fun savouring yummy food.

Taste was good, but there was a delay in service inspite of lesser crowd. (They have shortage of staff ig) The taste was good but personally for me - customer service over taste.

The staff was terribly rude, offensive and insulting. When the waiter was asked to serve the dishes he said, " are you kids, can't you take it". Despite asking for butter repeatedly, he didn't get it and when he was told the same, he said " are you a kid? have some patience, I am getting it". later he started getting our dishes and slamming them on the table. He was literally throwing temper tantrums at us. No professionalism at all. Spoilt the mood of the entire group. Hiring such staff clearly shows the absolute pathetic hospitality of the restaurant. Would never recommend Konark to anyone and would further go ahead dissuade anyone who wants to visit it.
