Last weekend, visited Kottayam with friends for a treat and picked the Kerala Fish Fry Meal. The fish was crispy and the spices perfectly balanced. Ended with payasam of the day, which tasted just like what you’d get in a Kerala home. The place felt lively—will surely come again.

We ordered Kizhi Porotta and Sadya from Kottayam Restaurant, HSR Layout, and both were a big disappointment. The Kizhi Porotta was just plain chicken curry placed between two porottas — oily, soggy, and with no layers at all. Totally not worth the money. The Sadya was also very disappointing — few items mentioned in the menu were missing, yet they charged ₹549 + GST. For that price, the quality and quantity were nowhere near acceptable. Overall, it was a waste of money and definitely not worth it. Please improve the food quality and ensure that customers get good food and worth for what they are paying When I called the feedback number shared by the restaurant, the response was very lame, didn’t even bother to apologize for the poor food and experience

Worst meal ever had in life... chicken pieces were stale...rice was overcooked..curries were tasteless and so was the fish fry...payasam was the worst... buttermilk was born bitter....from the entire meal only pickle was good! Quantity was not worth the money! The food was not worth waiting for! I have lost faith in KERALA meals after ordering food from your restaurant...and I appeal to the public not to order from here!

This restaurant is listed on Zomato with a 15% discount (as of 15/11/2015), but they refused to provide the offer, claiming delays in payments from Zomato. However, if they are not accepting Zomato discounts, they shouldn’t list it as an available payment option. Anyways I made the full payment but wanted to bring this to attention of Zomato and others

They refused District payment despite the active 15% offer, saying that the owner has strictly said not accept swiggy and district payments by giving vague excuses. Felt misleading and unprofessional. Prices are high. Not returning or recommending.

we had very bad experience with this Restaurant. they are very irresponsible attitude. weborders and waited for a 30mins at late night 1.30am. after 30mins they informed that the food is out of stock i don't recommend this place

booked through zomato. but they denied the payment through zomato. we cannot avail any discount. Zomato should stop hosting such restaurant. Atleast we will avoid unnecessary drama at the time of payment

I suggest to avoid this place. They serve old chicken, in Kerala restaurant you don’t have fish
