One of the most underrated dosa spots in Bangalore. Hands down the best davangere style benne dosa I've had so far in Bangalore. This place is simply the best be it dosa for breakfast or as an evening snack. The best part about this place is that spicy and delicious "ghatti chutney" or chutney without water mixed is served and is tonguegasming to all dosa lovers:D

JP's report card Taste - 4/5, Service - 4/5, Ambience - 3/5, Value for money - 4/5 This particular point is known for making and serving Davangare Benne Masala Dosas. I ordered 4 Davangare Benne Masala Dosa, 1 to eat there and 3 for parcel. My this blog about this whole experience. Taste – 4/5 Davangare Benne Masala Dosa, the name itself is enough to make your mouth flood. The dosa was crispy on the bottom, soft on the top, butter had done its trick to turn this normal batter into a tasty, crispy, soft dosa. The coconut chutney is super super spicy, for weak hearts be cautious about the hotness. Aloo playa served with davangare Benne Masala Dosa is normally whitish in color. You are supposed to eat with the super-spicy chutney and aloo palya. No sambar is served and it does not go well with this kind of dosa as well. It was super super tasty. For people who are calorie conscious, this would kill your diet plan for next one week. Forget about any diet and just get immersed into this buttery dosa. Service – 4/5 I ordered 4 Davangare Benne Masala Dosa, 1 to have it there and 3 for parcel. I was given 4 coupons, this is self-service joint. I handed over the coupons to the dosa maker at the kitchen and became witness to awesome Davangare Benne Masala dosa making. He cleaned up the dosa oven, adjusted the heat and poured 4 cups of dosa batter, while it was roasting he took handful of butter and dropped dollops of butter generously on the dosas, next he applied the red chutney, while it roasted crisping the dosa on the bottom, he again added more dollops of butter, I was like what the butter. Now finally he added the lump of coconut chutney and plain aloo palya. He nicely rolled the dosa and plunked it on the plate in front of me. I eagerly took the plate and devoured it. The dosas for the parcel was rolled into an aluminum foil, placed in a brown bag and was handed over to me. Ambience - 3/5 It is small joint, size of a big room, end of the room serves as the open kitchen and serving counter. There is seating for about 10 people. Simple place with no frills, it is all about Dosa. I call such place little jewel, there are many such jewels in Malleshwaram area. Value for money - 4/5 Definitely, value for money, the priciest dosa cost Rs. 50/- which is Davangare Benne Masala dosa, they serve other dosas like plain dosa, open dosa etc. Overall verdict - 4/5 Highly recommend this place for all those masala dosas for its Davangare Benne Masala dosa with dollops of butter.

Been ordering from here for more than 2 years. Finally writing a review. My standard comfort-food order from this place is their Khali Dose. The menu is limited, consisting of just 4-5 items. They serve-up Davengere -style doses. Think thick and fluffy doses, which are crisp and soft at the same time, with white aloo palya and extremely spicy getti-chutney (coconut-green chilli chutney). You can taste the white butter in every mouthful. This place is hidden gem and a must-try!

A classic Davangere style dosa with high quality ingredients, simple menu and just enough portion sizes. It's well priced too so go for seconds, you won't regret. Not sure what people are complaining about but you can't expect standard food across different restaurants. But surely dosas always taste better when eaten at the restaurant rather than from the packaging.

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. I ordered a plate of Davangere set dosa, a dish that is incomplete without gatti chutney. which traditionally and usually comes and served with gatti chutney. To my surprise, the hotel demanded an additional ₹10 just for the gatti chutney. This was not mentioned upfront while ordering, and charging extra for a basic accompaniment that defines the dish itself feels unreasonable. When customers order Davangere dosa, gatti chutney is an expected part of the meal, not an optional add-on. Paying extra for something that should be standard left a very bad impression and made the experience feel like unnecessary money-grabbing. Very bad experience due to unfair pricing practices and extremely unprofessional staff. Definitely not recommended.

The dosa is oily and for some reason a dosa upset my stomach. It's not thin. Quantity is enough for those who order one dosa
₹150 for two
