Matsuri is the best Japanese restaurant I’ve been to, in the whole of India. Having spent enough time in Japan, u can assure you that some of the negative reviews I’m seeing on Zomato are written by folks who don’t know what they’re talking about. I want to take it personally upon myself to clarify this is the most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in the country. I won’t just comment on the food. The food was the best I’ve had, as clarified before. But the pairing accompaniments that most restaurants get wrong, were just right here. The dipping sauces were the right umami - light and flavourful. The seasoning was just right for everything we ordered. I cannot write enough about this place. I’m mind blown and lucky to have found this restaurant that’s able to deliver my favourite cuisine in its true form, no frills; in my very own backyard. Grateful. PS: I’m not really a photo guy. I didn’t take enough pictures of the food before digging into it. And once I got started on the food, trust me that I didn’t stop until it was all gone. Grateful, again. _/\_

An expansive menu that brings some vegetarian options too, Matsuri is a stalwart among Japanese restaurants in Bangalore. I've been here only once before, but this time I ordered the Champonmen (half) and the Avocado Salmon sushi as recommended by the staff, and both of them really hit it outta the park! Their miso soup is also worth trying - so comforting throughout! The portions for the champonmen and the miso were a lot, but the post meal satiety is worth it!

Great service by Regina. She helped me pick cocktail and sushi. I got eel and cucumber sushi, liked the taste.

While we ordered for a Ten Don, we were served the veg version which could have been avoided if they had asked for a clarification. They first informed that it can’t be canceled but I didn’t even order the veg version, then they topped it with two pieces of prawn instead.

pathetic Japanese food. Wasabi and ginger both were stale. the soy sauce seemed old and expired. don't suggest wasting your money here.

Think twice before going here. Average taste of food and overtly overpriced. The desert was a disaster
