It's a really charming place. Beautiful ambience & good service. Food is absolutely delicious. Reasonable prices. The view of the pool is amazing. Must visit place.

The food here was super tasty, and the ambiance is also top-notch. Service though, is on the slower side. We had to wait quite a bit for our orders to be served. Merak is a restaurant within the JW Marriott hotel. Its got a massive, spacious seating area along with poolside service as well. You have music running at a moderate volume and they provide comfortable sofas for seating. Overall the place has an amazing feel to it. We ordered a Turkish grilled chicken, butter-garlic prawns, crispy calamari and a blue cheese chicken burger. The food overall was super yummy with the grilled chicken being the best of the lot. The burger is of quite a good size and tasted delectable. We were left disappointed with the service though. It's extremely slow and we had to wait for quite a long time before our orders were served. The ambience of the place is fantastic and super comfortable, so we didn't mind the wait as such, but there is definitely room for improvement in the speed of service. Overall it's a good place and you'll enjoy your outing here. Would definitely recommend this place for a casual comfortable dining experience.

Roof top, with pool view, billiards to play.. We opted for Virgin colada, southern twist, mango Mia, green burger, truffle Mac n cheese, green burger, chilli mushroom, double cheese croquettes with onion jam. Quantitywise it was good and tastewise also nothing to complain.

We visited Spice Terrace to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Food: As vegetarians, we found the options to be extremely limited. The taste was average at best—definitely not what you'd expect from a 5-star restaurant. The positive google reviews around food quality to be either from folks preferring seems the non-vegetarian or probably those who’re unfamiliar with truly good vegetarian food. Service: This was the most frustrating part. Despite booking a table for 8:30 PM, we were seated at 9:30 PM. The reason given was that "in-house" bookings get priority. While this might be understandable during a rush, the service was still pathetic. No one offered water or took our order for another 20 minutes after being seated. Ambience: The ambience is decent but doesn't live up to the hype. It’s good but far from spectacular, especially considering the premium reputation of Marriott. Overall: Poor service, below average food, and underwhelming ambience. For such an important occasion, it was a regrettable choice. Would strongly recommend exploring other options over Spice Terrace.

Terrible experience.Went to Merak to grab a quick beer but the receptionist Zeli was extremely rude , made us change our sit thrice while the entire place was almost empty. The way she spoke was not a good tone.No reason to be so rude to customer. If UR having a bad day, there is no reason to take it out on the customer pls. Ruined our evening, we finally decided to walk out without having anything and then headed to JW kitchen.

very poor service. 1 person to serve the whole area! a limited menu and half the items not available on that menu! disappointed with JW for such low standards !
