This is our usual pitstop while travelling outside Bangalore. The south indian meals, masal dose and rava idli are very tasty here. Service is fast and the staff are very hospitable.

We were here by 7:30 am today and this MTR is absolutely gorgeous. There's greenery all around and early morning, it's absolutely beautiful. We ordered their masala dosa with badam halwa, Chandrakala and their Sunday special chandrahara. The masala dosa was great, as expected, absolutely delicious. The best thing we had today was the badam halwa, you guys need to try that, it's extremely delicious! The Chandrakala is as expected, their Sunday special chandrahara was delicious, doused in thick, delicious milk, only downfall for me personally was the flavour of camphor which I'm not a fan of. All in all, great! Food: 4/5 Service: self service Ambience: 4/5 Value for money: 4/5

MTR is one of the oldest restaurants of Namma Bengaluru. They started in the year 1924 and now have multiple outlets across the city. I recently visited this Kanakpura outlet during a road trip. The place was fully crowded but the service was still quick. We tried the idlis, vada, dosa and pooris here. Everything tasted good. It’s just that as my personal preference I don’t like the sweet sambhar. The dosas and idlis were served with extra ghee serving. Prices are slightly higher compared to other similar south indian breakfast places in the town.

Saturday early morning travel and this place happened to be our breakfast jaunt. We were 4 adults with 2 small kids and following was the experience- Food - We ordered their ghee masala dosa(very authentic and tasty! The outer part of super crispy and inner portion was very moist with green Color chutney coated) The filter coffee is very good Didn’t quite liked the pista badam lassi. The lassi was very porous and somehow felt that there are added Color. Didn’t taste very natural. Ambience- Regular ambience Customer service- Felt the staffs were little confused and kept confirming the order again and again. The strawberry milkshake order took lot of time! Value for money- Good

Food taste is fine. Enjoyable, but the place seems to be struggling on maintenance. I think they aren't washing the utensils at all, probably just dipping them in water and reusing them. The washroom area is just okay... Needs to be maintained better given that it is not a road side stall. Visited 18-Aug. Decent parking space available.

I would say pethetic, MTR is the worst place to have south indian food. I would say not worth the price you pay for South Indian food. Not worth the taste, not worth the quantity and not worth service as well. I paid 950 for just 8 Pcs Rava idli, 3 Masala dosa and 2 vada. I am very much sure I will never go back to this chain of resturent ever in my life.

Such horribly slow service . It’s not like the restaurant is extremely busy . They are just so disorganised. Taste of food is good. But I will not recommend this place. Spent 0.5 hour searching for a waiter, 1 hour to get breakfast , 20 mins to get coffee . Please improve the service ..

Waste of money... The money we spend isn't worth at all here..... It's better we go to some normal street side restos and eat
