I really wanted to try Bisibellebath on my visit to Bangalore and my friend decided to take me to one the best places in Bangalore - MTR. This is supposed to be the OG outlet of MTR. I visited MTR on a Sunday with a friend for an early lunch. Roadside two wheeler parking availble. The place was full and we had to wait about 10 mins to get a table. The ambience is really average. We ordered a range of dishes including the Benne Dosa and Bisibellebath aling with orange and mosambi juice. The Benne Masala Dosa was really great. Although it lacked the big punch of butter. Limited amount of butter was applied on the dosa. The Bisibellebath was really good. It was spicy and tangy and I loved it. Loaded with lots of ghee and dry fruits, it was amazing. The juices were okay. The staff is polite and attentive. The service is satisfactory. Good quality and quantity. Reasonable prices. Overall a really great place to have some authentic South Indian food.

Mavalli Tiffin Rooms, fondly known as MTR, stands as a legendary name in the restaurant business with a rich history spanning nearly a century. Although the restaurant opens its doors from 8 am to 9 pm daily, specific dishes are available during designated timings. The menu boasts a plethora of options, and the Pudi Masala Dosa and coffee are highly recommended. While MTR offers a worthwhile dining experience, some may find the pricing on the higher end compared to similar establishments in the area. Nevertheless, it remains a good place to visit and savor authentic South Indian cuisine while in the vicinity.

I found it pretty overrated as per both food, hygiene and ambience, I found dosa buttermilk and coffee normal like I eat in any other South Indian eatery in Bangalore plus if you are going on weekend if you have to wait in queue. Definitely don’t want to visit this place next time.

The dosa is tasty (although not as good as the Lal Bagh branch) . The filter coffee was one of the worst I have had in Bangalore. The service is nothing short of POOR. Order took 20 mins to arrive, and the server seemed disinterested. Go here only for their authentic dosas.

Absolutely over rated place, definitely not the MTR brand that it was once known for it's quality...the butter masala dosa was bland and tasteless, idli, vada and akki roti was passable. Very disappointing visit. Will definitely not recommrnd and visit again. On giving a feed back to the cashier, i get a blank and dead pan face...careless and casual attitude.

I am surprised how people go this place. Pathetic service, staffs never listen to u. Have never seen them smiling or talking ever. Visited after 2 years same pathetic service and food. Never visiting this shitty place again

I was down with stomach upset after having Pudi masala dosa here. My friend also suffered while she visited it. Avoid if possible
