We had such a memorable experience at Nila in Bangalore. It truly felt like Michelin-star-level dining brought thoughtfully into the city. From the very beginning, being able to see and even touch the ingredients before the meal set the tone, there’s such intention behind everything they do. Each course reflected incredible detail and care, and the staff did a wonderful job explaining the dishes and the story behind them. The chef’s vision really comes through not just in the food, but in how indigenous ingredients are elevated and presented. Even the decor played a role; for a few hours, we felt transported somewhere else entirely. We were honestly a bit sceptical going in because of some negative reviews on Zomato and Google, but between my husband and me, we’ve dined at several renowned restaurants around the world, including Noma and Alchemist, and we genuinely thought the food here was excellent. We also love that the menu changes every three months; it gives us every reason to keep coming back. A special mention to the philosophy of “omitanashi” (Nila’s corporate entity name) - you can really feel that the chef, Rahul Sharma, and his team anticipate your needs even before you express them. Wishing them the very best, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

I recently dined at Nila and it was hands down the best night I’ve had in a long time. The new Kerala-based menu beautifully blends authentic regional flavours with a modern, elevated touch across a phenomenal 11-course journey. The experience kicks off beautifully in the ‘Living Room’ with playful snacks. Every single dish was an absolute masterpiece—the flavours were deep, perfectly balanced, and so thoughtfully curated. From the smoky depth of the fire-toasted Vatta Pattani soup paired with pillowy whole-wheat flatbread, to the comforting, tangy richness of the Eendh Pidi dumplings bathed in a roasted garlic and curd chili sauce, each dish honors its roots while offering a thrilling element of surprise. Desserts, oh my god! Breathtaking. The interiors are absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous mood lighting and a warm, elegant design. A definite visit without a doubt!!

what honestly surprised me about this place was the warmth. I frequent fine dining establishments as a hobby, and it is always very formal, postured, and somewhat soulless. at Nila, I felt like I was visiting family, they way they got so happy seeing and serving us. I tried the Kerala menu and the duck courses were one of the best I had ever had (in duck, Obv). also, if you are an architecture nerd, you'll genuinely love this place cuz apparently it's custom built with the theme in mind.

I had the most incredible experience at Nila! The 12-course meal was a true culinary journey, each course meticulously crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Chef Rahul was an absolute delight, his warmth and passion shone through as he explained each dish, making the whole evening feel personal and unforgettable. I can’t recommend this experience enough!

I arrived at Nila and was immediately greeted by the amazing team with an introduction and a tour of the space. Every dish was introduced with a story and every bite was a burst of unique flavours. Nothing like I’ve ever tasted before. If you’re planning to go to Nila, I recommend going with your appetite ready and your mind prepared to be blown. 10/10 experience.
