service experience not impressive - all that a waiter could describe about the dish “flavourful & tasty” - and osmania kebabs were definitely not flavourful - well cooked for sure - but lacked flavor. The dishes were super greasy, even the ones that were supposed to be “baked” had oil / butter floating through & through.

A restaurant visit is not just for the meal but also for the overall experience. Somehow the cowrie fe dint live up to hype generated by Oz based on reviews, pictures and the vast menu on offer To start with we were seated on a table which had untidy seating. The cushions were stained and we had to request for an alternate table The waiter couldn’t engage in a conversation to suggest “must haves”. To make it worse, traversing through online menu is painstaking - no sections and only way is to keep swiping page by page which gets annoying given the volume of the menu Food wise, Beirut Hummus was good. The Labneh lacked any flavour. Lentil soup tasted like watery dal and devoid of any Mediterranean flavour. We restricted the entrees to one plate of Antep Kebab saving our appetite for some delicious Turkish desserts This is where it got very disappointing. No Kunafeh, No Baklava!! We were told Kunafeh hasn’t been there for 6 months (wonder why is it on the menu; could have saved a swipe on the menu!). We just couldn’t gather courage to order Cakes and Icecreams which we could as well get anywhere in BLR. Overall it just wasn’t a day to remember. I would like to assume it was an off day for the restaurant too.
