Oh where do I start about this place, their variety of food, the amicable ambience, lovely chefs, attention to detail, Taj hospitality and more. We got a chance to have an amazing dining experience at the Palette as my wife got an opportunity to collaborate with the Taj team to serve some delicious desserts for a mother’s day brunch. The ambience at the restaurant was unlike any other brunch at a five star hotel. The restaurant was decorated in shades of pink as it was mother’s day. In terms of food, we could find stations full of freshly baked breads of more than 20 varieties, 25+ salads, 25+ desserts, a dedicated station for Indian veg and Indian non-veg curries and biryani along with an outdoor space for chaat items, a lebanese station for kebabs and grills along with a station for bhatkali cuisine. For the main course, one could order fresh breads like rotis, parathas, naans etc and it would be served straight to your table. I liked how the breads were made to order and not just prepared and kept in a hot plate along with the curries. This is the difference when you dine in at a posh restaurant Vs when you dine in at a premium hotel like Taj Yeshwantpur. Apart from the food, there was a live magic show, tarot reading sessions and live music which was open to all and provided that X factor to the brunch. It was Taj’s way of going above and beyond for the customers. In the end, I would definitely go back to Taj Yeshwantpur for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries as they give you a royal treatment which is beyond the imagination of regular folks. I loved how the Taj team had each and every minute detail figured out right from the decor to the food and created a vibrant atmosphere for families to come and celebrate this special day. I would definitely recommend you to visit the Palette restaurant and if you get a chance, try to meet the exec Chef Bijoy Nair. We have dined at various amazing establishments and Chef Bijoy is the most humble exec chef that we have come across. We need more people like him in the hospitality industry who always tries to lead by example and goes above and beyond their job. We would definitely meet him the next time we go to Taj Yeshwantpur, ofcourse if he can take out some time from his busy schedule and share his experience about food in and around Bangalore.

On the occasion of our wedding anniversary visited Palette- Taj Yeshwanthpur, for Lunch buffet for the first time. The ambience of the restaurant was very amazing as it was Holi brunch the staffs had decorated the restaurant with different colours in glass bottles. There was a wide spread of buffet. Firstly they served chicken soup which was very spicy and delicious. Then comes the starters, chats, main course and desserts. All the items were very tasty and delicious. One of my most favourite on the Holi brunch was Thandai. It was very good. In most of the star hotels which I have visited the food will not be as good as the ambience of the restaurant. But in this restaurant both are mind blowing . The staffs were very polite and oblige. The service was exceptional.

Overall it was a good experience. The fried rice was a bit bland. But rest of the dishes were good, roll and cakes were exceptional.

Its not worth the price. The menu was limited and was not any way a 5 star grade. They didn't had ample selection of vegetarian options. To my surprise, they didn't even had any mushroom starters! The non-vegetarian selection was also limited. Dessert was pathetic. No drinks (juice/soda) was available. Salad bar was just usual. Overall this was not expected in a 5star restaurant. The food quality however was fine. But the same quality (with better variety) is available at 1/3rd price at several places.

Went for the dinner buffet and it was really way below average for Hotel Like Taj. Spread was not good and the starters they had already became soggy. The staff was nice to arrange fresh starters but fish was still the same. Indian bread in live counter was good but in main course and dessert there are hardly good option. I hope they bring back the glory soon.

Not really a 5 star experience. We had a mutton biryani (which was ok) and desserts. For such a high price, we got such a tiny portion of desserts. The cushion of the chair was so old that when I sat down, I could feel the metal of the chair frame. They even jacked up the price now. Friends said it was like going to a 3 star hotel. The toilet was also tiny and far from the restaurant, so even washing hands required quite a bit of walking. The fundamental thing these restaurants ignore, is hospitality. You do not serve teensy tiny portions of food to a hungry guest. When they are almost done eating, offer them more food. As a host, it is your duty to ensure the guest has had their fill. Money is secondary. Why have restaurants...especially 5 star restaurants forgotten this fundamental aspect of hospitality? They did not even make the food extra spicy even though I asked for it. Never going back to Vivanta again. Wasted my money.
