Special Punjabi thali ❌ Special makhi thali ✅ The food was extremely unhygienic, and I wouldn't recommend anyone eat it. I placed my order on October 11 and complained to the owner, but he refused to acknowledge that there was a housefly in my food. He claimed that their food is prepared in a hot environment, so no flies would be around. When I pressed him further, he stated that I would receive a full refund and asked what else I wanted, which made it seem like he was doing me a favour. Let's consider that I will deliver spoiled food and make you eat it, and in return, I will pay you money. Whether that will be acceptable, they mentioned FSSAI (hygiene rating). If you can't apply, then don't show. I reported the issue to Zomato twice but received no response. This shows how irresponsible the company is, despite claiming that safe food is their priority. My question to Zomato is the following: 1. What actions have you taken against the restaurant? 2. Are there specific policies in place regarding how quickly complaints are addressed? 3. If food is found contaminated with a pathogen (e.g., housefly), did the restaurant owner dispose of it? If such incidents happen, why don't they submit a video of the food disposal? How can we ensure that they are not selling the same contaminated food to others? In my case, they only shut down their service for a few hours, yet they were still available to serve on Swiggy. Why can't Zomato cross-verify whether they are actually shutting down their service or not? A user is a customer regardless of the platform they order from, and providing spoiled food is equivalent to food poisoning. 4. Does Zomato have a physical supervisor who visits restaurants to ensure they are following proper hygiene standards according to FSSAI guidelines? 5. How can a user report an incident to a customer support representative quickly? In my case, the AI chatbot initiated the refund without understanding my concern. I’m wondering why it is taking so long for me to receive the promised email from customer support. Do you not take your customers seriously? I placed my order on October 11th, and after 39 days of no response, I find it disappointing that a company like yours operates this way. Additionally, I’m concerned about your commitment to food hygiene, as it seems irresponsible.
