We went to Royal China, UB City on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it turned out to be such a lovely evening! ✨ We chose to sit outdoors, and the setting was just perfect—nice, cozy, and with a lovely fresh breeze that made the evening even more enjoyable. 🌿 The experience was truly top-notch. The service was excellent—very warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout the evening. And the food was absolutely amazing! We had Sichuan Crispy Corn, Sweet & Chilli Potato, Mongolian Chicken, and Spicy Chicken Bao to start with. For the main course, we enjoyed Vermicelli Noodles and Chilli Oil Chicken, and everything was delicious and full of flavour. 😍 A big thank you to the entire team at Royal China for making our friend’s birthday celebration extra special. Great food, wonderful service, a beautiful setting, and an overall fantastic evening. ❤️ Definitely a place we’d love to visit again!

Came here with the whole family last Sunday, three generations at one table which is always a logistical adventure. My grandmother who rarely eats out and is deeply particular about her food cleaned her plate completely which said everything. We ordered a spread, some dimsums, a steamed fish, the crispy duck, a couple of vegetable dishes, and everything held up across very different palates and preferences. The staff managed the table with impressive ease, patient with the elders, attentive to the kids, never once making anyone feel like they were too much to handle. The space felt comfortable for a family lunch without losing any of its elegance. Left with everyone in a good mood which with my family is genuinely no small achievement.

Came here with the family on a rainy Sunday afternoon, seven of us squeezed into a booking made twenty minutes before arrival. The staff handled it without a flicker of stress which immediately set the tone for the rest of the meal. We let the table order freely, everyone pointing at different things on the menu, the usual family chaos. What came out was a spread that somehow satisfied everyone, the dimsums went first, the Crispy Skin Duck caused a minor argument over the last piece, and the vegetable dishes held their own against everything else on the table. My aunt who has been to some of the finest restaurants across the country leaned over mid meal and said this place is the real deal. Hard to top that kind of endorsement.

Sunday family lunches can be chaotic at the best of times but this place absorbed all of it gracefully. We were a table of seven, different ages, different appetites, different opinions on everything. The Peking Duck was the unanimous favourite, even my younger cousins who are notoriously difficult to please were reaching across the table for seconds. The staff navigated the chaos of a large family order without a single misstep. Dishes came out in a rhythm that kept everyone happy and nobody waiting too long. The kind of lunch that reminded everyone why eating together actually matters.

Took the entire family here to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary and the evening held up beautifully under the pressure of a big occasion. My mother who is an exceptional cook herself kept asking about the seasoning on the Cantonese Steamed Fish, genuinely curious about how they achieved what they did. My father sat back with that rare contentment that only really good food brings out in him. The kids were well looked after, the elders were comfortable, and somewhere in between all of that the food just kept delivering. A meal the whole family is still talking about.

Popped in here on a Monday evening expecting a quiet unremarkable dinner and got anything but. The Dimsums were exceptional as always and the Stir Fried Sugar Snap Peas with Shimeji Mushroom was one of those dishes that makes you rethink how good a vegetable dish can actually be. The room was calm, the staff unhurried, and the whole experience felt far removed from the Monday it actually was. Exactly the kind of reset a week needs.

Visited last week with a friend I had not seen in over a year and the setting could not have been more perfect for a long overdue catch up. The food kept arriving at just the right pace, never interrupting the conversation, always enhancing it. The Wok Tossed Lobster was outstanding, rich and deeply flavored without being excessive. Two hours passed like nothing. This place has a rare quality of making time feel generous.

Came here on a quiet Wednesday evening and left wondering why I do not do this more often. The food was flawless, the service warm and unhurried, the atmosphere exactly what a midweek dinner should feel like. This place just never misses.
