Had a really pleasant dining experience at Salt, VR Bengaluru, Whitefield. The ambience is elegant and lively, making it a great place for a relaxed meal with friends or family. The food was delicious, well-presented and had a nice variety of flavours, while the service was warm, attentive and efficient. Overall, a great experience with good food, a beautiful setting and welcoming hospitality. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again!

Good place to get good food! souren take care of us I liked Madras warmer drink with Cinnamon and also Jim Beam with egg white and orange! Refreshing! Sabji Quinoa tikki was innovation and not bad! Though I don't mind channa or potato tikki! Moringa and Lentil soup was decent. Paneer Ghee Roast was good!

The restaurant is called Salt, yet unfortunately the one thing missing from almost every dish was salt. We ordered the Dal Tadka, which arrived undercooked, completely lacking seasoning and flavour. The Chettinad Drumsticks were served cold, as though they had just come out of the refrigerator. The Tomato Shorba was also served cold and had virtually no seasoning. While a guest can always add a little salt and pepper to a soup if needed, there is no way to salvage a tomato shorba that is served cold. It completely defeats the purpose of the dish. Aren't the chefs supposed to taste what they cook before serving? Another disappointing aspect was the inconsistency in service. Every other table was served the complimentary papad platter as an amuse-bouche, while ours was simply ignored. It wasn't a one-time oversight, we watched it being served to table after table, except ours. The service etiquette was equally disappointing. The server either stood uncomfortably close or too far away while serving, and instead of placing the bowls and plates properly on the dining table, he repeatedly handed them to us, in our hands, to place ourselves. That's not the level of service one expects at a restaurant of this standard. What disappointed us most was the complete lack of attention after the food was served. No one came back to ask if everything was satisfactory, whether we needed anything else, or even to offer a second helping. Such lapses are understandable when a restaurant is packed and the staff is overwhelmed. However, at the time of our visit, there were only 3-4 occupied tables. There was simply no excuse for being so inattentive. We felt that we were conveniently ignored out of sheer ignorance and carelessness. Both the food and the service fell far below expectations. For a restaurant like Salt, it was ironic that what was most lacking throughout the experience was flavour, attention, and basic hospitality.
