When the place is small and confined yet overflows with people time and again, then it's an indicator for great food!!! This place is located in the aorta of the city within the narrow streets with hardly any parking space. It is best recommended to park elsewhere and have a short walk (the metro is close by). They have the billing and pickup counter on the ground floor with limited dining space on the first floor. And moreover, they have a very limited menu so it is easy to choose from. Chicken pulav - That hot fluffy rice mixed with onion and a squeeze of lemon, WOW!! A kicky fragrant donne biryani with good meat quantity 👌 Mutton pulav - Easily the best of the lot with so tender and juicy meat and an egg; the pulav mixed with the pepper raitha gave a whole new flavor 😍 Chicken shatriya - Do squeeze the lemon for the extra kick!! Crunchy on the outside with well-cooked meat, a bit spicy but enjoyable!! 😘 On the price front, they're pretty cheap, and they also serve a generous portion. Most of the time, their biryani would be sold out if we visit late, and that's the level they are at. There is not much to comment on the ambiance since it is almost like a mediocre dining place. Self-service, so I never had a problem with that.

The best gundu pulav outlet in the city. Super reasonable and delicious pulav. They dont serve any raita or salan but i did not feel the need. Loved the flavours. Seating arrangement is there in the balcony upstairs.Difficult to locate without gmaps.. in the bylanes near Majestic but only two wheelers have access to this lane or you can walk. Must visit if you love Karnataka style pulav

SGS NONVEG GUNDU PALAV With perfect weather, cravings for non-veg breakfast just increases. Deciding to taste one of the most famous non veg pulao in Bangalore, I set out to visit SGS NONVEG GUNDU PALAV in Balepet. This enterprise has been around for 33 years serving joy to people. Many people believe that the origin of serving food to customers in donne started here (bangalore). The menu consists only of Chicken pulao, mutton pulao and plain pulao in the morning and chicken kabab and chicken chatriya in the evening. Here the pulao and the meat is cooked separately. Ordering both chicken and mutton pulao I headed into the first floor to dine-in and taste the goodness. The pulao is garnished with lemon, onion, boiled egg and cucumbers which is altogether served in donne. The piquant flavour of chilli, ginger and garlic in the masala just made the chicken pulao so tasty. The chicken was perfectly cooked with perfect marination and the chicken was juicy till it's last bit . The most interesting part of this restaurant is the salt and pepper you find on every table which is used to add extra flavours to your pulao and let me tell you… they aren't lying. The mutton pulao's rice tasted the same, but the meat had its own deep flavours. If you ask me... I liked the chicken pulao over the mutton so much that I went for another plate. I personally recommend you all to visit here. Chicken pulao :-5/5 Mutton pulao :-4/5

SGS Gundu Palav is a classic - its original outlet in Balepete witnesses crowds for a power packed meat breakfast. The Pulav options are in Chicken, Mutton, and also with the Kshtriya Kababs (which can be purchased separately too). The rice has a balanced flavour, the kababs are juicy and elevate it to another level. Prices are modest and the place is a must try!

I am huge fan of SGS chicken pulav. Frequenting the place since 2003. I would have loved to rate them 5 stars, but from past few years their flavouring  has taken a hit and the pulav no more has that spicy tinge in it, what it had years ago. These days the pulav is more greasy and the chicken is not well marinated. End of the day simple and pocket friendly chicken pulav in Bangalore.
