Stumbled upon this place for a weekend hangout, and it honestly blew my mind! The view from the 5th floor is absolutely surreal, making it a perfect spot to unwind. We started with drinks, the Aunt Polly and a Mojito both were well-made, refreshing, and had a good kick. For food, we tried quite a spread. The Coorg Naatikoli Sukka was packed with flavour, and the Raw Mango Chicken Tikka was super juicy and perfectly cooked. The Donne Biryani stood out the meat was incredibly tender and full of flavour. We also got the Mac & Cheese, which was rich, creamy, and comforting. Ended the meal with a sizzling brownie, which was the perfect sweet finish. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

What should have been a memorable birthday celebration turned into one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We visited as a group of four, spent close to ₹10,000 on food and drinks, and tried our best to enjoy the evening despite extremely poor service — long waits just to place orders and even longer for them to arrive. Still, we chose to overlook it for the sake of the occasion. Things took a shocking turn at the end. We were handed the bill without asking, even though we were still eating. We cooperated, paid in full, and remained seated to finish our food — nothing unusual. A small, harmless situation — where a friend spat into his own plate — was blown completely out of proportion. Instead of handling it professionally, the waiter argued, made unreasonable comments (even suggesting spitting on the floor), and escalated things unnecessarily. Within minutes, the manager showed up with bouncers, and the situation turned aggressive. We were shouted at, disrespected, and made to feel unsafe — despite not disturbing anyone or causing any issue. It felt intimidating and completely uncalled for. To be honest, it also felt like this reaction may have been triggered because we didn’t leave a tip — which, given the poor service all night, was a fair decision. If that’s the standard of behavior towards customers who don’t tip, it raises serious concerns. It’s extremely disappointing that a place where we spent good money and came to celebrate would treat customers this way. Good food means nothing when basic respect and safety are missing. I would strongly advise others to think twice before visiting. No night out is worth being treated like this.

My experience at Shelby was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the behavior of the bouncer, who showed absolutely no respect toward guests. Instead of treating customers politely, he was rude, aggressive, and acted as if everyone coming in was some kind of local gunda. There was no basic courtesy, no professionalism—just unnecessary attitude and hostility. The overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable because of this behavior. A place that is supposed to offer a good evening out ended up completely spoiling the mood before we could even enjoy anything. I am very disappointed with Shelby and would definitely not recommend visiting unless you want to ruin your evening. There are far better places that actually value and respect their customers.

The receptionist was an absolute disaster. She doesn't respect the customer. Despite booking the table, we were about to be sent back until I insisted that I wanted to see the manager. After managers intervention we got the table. Not for the family crowd. No separate no smoking zone.
