After trying the Chole Bhature from Natraj, Gopaljee and Panditji, it's time that I tried Shyamji's Chole Bhature too. I was waiting for an opportunity to try them and a car insurance work took me close to Malleshwaram and I ended up meeting my lunch at an outlet of Shyamji's. Ordered a Chole Bhature and a lassi to go with it and my order was served up hot in minutes. First I loved that they made the bhatures fresh after I placed my order, which is how it should be, but sometimes this gets missed. The chole is the authentic version from Delhi, called the Indori kabuli chole, and after hours of slow cooking it is extremely buttery and I was told that the black colour actually is developed using amla in the cooking process. The mild fermentation on the bhature was perfect to soak up the chole and the fresh onions, lightly fried chili with pickled carrots were perfect to add-on to the tanginess. The large potato piece in the chole is something that I loved mashing up to mix in every bite. The spicy green chutney on the side was much needed to up the heat that I needed. Overall it was a good version that I devoured quickly with the help of the perfectly sweet sour lassi that had a generous amount of almond flakes. I am no expert to pick a winner among the four, but I thoroughly enjoyed the meal here and it was an absolute delight, do try them out and share your experience.

Whenever i crave for North Indian style chole bhature i visit this place....They have multiple branches in the city, i have tried their delectable bhature tasted  so yummy with delicious chole aloo, pickle and onions is justttt perfect. Also loved their chaats especially Raj Kachori, Dahi Balla Chaat, Papadi Chaat. Pav Bhaji is my another favourite here ofcourse not to miss the lassi that's so creamy and thick. The Jamun is lipsmacking tho. MUST try place. Polite service Affordable Rates Good Quality Highly Recommended

I had recently visited Shyam Ji with my friend on a Sunday brunch to try the signature chole bhature, and it was absolutely delicious when paired with their sweet malai lassi is a combination that you cannot go wrong with. Also do try Raj Kachori.

One of the best chhole bhature you can find in Bangalore! Proper authentic north indian taste. Loved every bite!

The hype that the restaurant serves best chole bhature in the city is disappointing. They serve very good bhature, but chole are not very great. They have the right colour, consistency but they aren't the best. The hygiene of the place is also not great. There are only 4 tables and it's in the middle of the market place so the restaurant actually is the only one serving North Indian food amongst the many South Indian and chat shops that are in the vicinity. I observed tired shoppers coming to this place not because of the taste or popularity but as a last resort. We ordered chole bhature and masala cheese paratha. The paratha had only cheese no masala or vegetables that we were expecting. Menu is limited. So I would suggest if you happen to be here try the dahi chaat items on the menu. They are overpriced but better option.

I expected the food to be good based on the rating and recommendations of food bloggers, but it was a huge disappointment. I do not recommend this place.
