Sri Maruthi Gowda Military Hotel is located quite close to the Bus Terminus near Majestic Metro station at the 2nd Cross Road in Gandhinagar, Bengaluru From the looks if you go by, you may be sceptical in choosing to dine in but if you consider and believe in hidden gems, then this is one of the most affordable and very good authentic Karnataka restaurant. Basically a pice hotel from the interior arrangements and the price list in the simple menu card that they have, we chose to order the authentic Karnataka specialities Ragi Mudde served with Serava (Mutton Gravy) along with the amazingly delicious crispy Chicken Kababs was the one of the best I have tasted in Bengaluru. We ordered Chicken Biryani along with Mutton Boti Fry (Dry) which turned out to be satisfactory also. Burhani and Raita was served complimentary with the Biryani. The Biryani tasted unique in pure Kannada style of flavours. The Mutton Boti Fry was good and spicy but could have been more better owing the chunks of Mutton that they gave was not the best as per my opinion Overall, the food here was superb if you want to have authentic Karnataka non veg specialities excluding the looks and ambience which might not be of your expectations though but can definitely give a try. Highly reccomended to try out from here if you are in Bengaluru !!
