I never had a sweet tooth untill i visited this place. I bet you this place will change your whole imagination of how sweets can be made. It tastes so good so different that it literally melts in your mouth. There are so many varieties of sweets for all different kinds of taste buds. So freshly made you can actually feel it when you are eating it. They say usually tasty foods are not healthy & healthy foods are not tasty, but here, they have changed this very old saying as well, nobody could ever think that, a barfi could be made out of dry fruits. oh my God! this new addition is to die for, a must try I'm also attaching a pic of it. Its a crunchy piece of sweet which has a caramel filling giving you a crunchy yet gooey taste . have you ever tried this in a sweet store? I bet you wouldn't have. This is a perfect combination put together for quality food lovers. They keep adding lots of new varieties to taste. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Their original branches are only in Malleswaram & Balepet, the others are not the real Venkesteshwara store, do check this out before you head out for your amazing sweet experience. Hope this review has helped my readers. Bon appetite!

Bangalore’s legendary preparation of Mysore Pak from Original @venkateshwarasweets_original made from pure Ghee. Unbelievably soft, which for sure melts in your mouth leaving behind a great taste. A must try for Mysore Pak fans..! People who travel to Bangalore also can consider this to be a special treat to be taken back to their place to tell that it’s from a famous established 100yrs old sweet store!

SRI VENKATESHWARA SWEETMEAT STALL. I visited a sweet chain which has 100 years of history near Balepet, Bangalore. The owners of the enterprise are very kind and explained the history of Sri Venkateshwara sweetmeat stall. Venkateshwara sweetmeat stall was started by the owner's great grandfather. According to the localites they have maintained the same taste throughout and that is because of the same old recipe and materials they use. Their speciality is their Mysore pak and the ghee used in it is customized according to their needs from the manufacturer. I was lucky enough to watch the making of their tasty Mysore pak. The bright golden Mysore pak was served on a banana leaf, like a golden brick on a plate. I was told not to bite the Mysore pak, but just place it in my mouth and press it against your tongue as you can feel it melted away. The rich flavor of the ghee and cardamom was perfectly blended with a perfect sandy texture of the flour. The Mysore Pak was just addicting. I also tried dumroot, a dish made with a huge wax gourd . These wax gourd weigh around 15 kg each. They are grated, boiled, sweetened and then baked in the oven for several hours. The first look at the dish was amazing, it had a brown outer layer, yellow inside layer and was garnished with cashews and raisins. My first bite was a festival of textures. The crunchy brown part of the dish just complimented the soft parts of the dumroot, giving it a texture of halwa. It was just perfect and not to forget the delightful flavour of their ghee Overall It was a wonderful experience. MYSORE PAK :5/5 DUMROOT :-4/5

They are rightly called as the king of Mysore Pak.. though the shop is a bit difficult to locate in the tiny lanes, but once you reach there the smell of Mysore Pak will make you drool over it... It's definitely worth a try and not worth missing.. the Mysore Pak just melts in the mouth. Special mention of their banana chips and pumpkin seeds mixture... These are heavenly... And best part is the pocket pinch is not very high... The shop start filling with customers as soon as it opens at 9 30 am in the Morning,so plan accordingly.

A must visit place for Mysore pak. Coming to Sweets, Mysore pak tastes delicious. Caramel dry fruit gujiya is ok. Dumroat is good. In Mixture, Bangalore mixture is worth a try, it is little bit spicy. Kara mix is not upto the mark. Place is busy. Overall worth a visit for fresh mysore pak

I went to the trouble of locating this place early in the morning yesterday i.e on 9th January, 2019. I reached there at 9.30 given that the place opens at 9 am. I found the shutters only partly raised and cleaning of the shop in progress. I was told that the shop is not yet open. I requested them that I only needed to pick up some Mysore Pak and had come all the way from Mumbai. They rudely asked me to come back after one hour if I wanted their Mysore pak. I had other commitments and hence had to leave empty handed and disappointed. I asked them to learn customer service from other sweet shops such as Sri Krishna Sweets and Shree Adyar Ananda Bhavan. The Venkateshwara sweet shop may have the most tasty Mysore Pak anywhere but SRI VENKATESHWARA SWEET MEAT SHOP HAS THE WORST STAFF AND A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE WHEN IT COMES TO TREATING CUSTOMERS. I WILL NOT GO TO THIS SHOP EVEN IF THEY WERE OFFERING THE PROVERBIAL NECTAR OR AMRUT IF IT MEANS SUCH SHODDY TREATMENT. MY ADVISE IS GO TO THIS SHOP ONLY IF YOU WISH TO BE HUMILIATED. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE GIVEN A ZERO RATING BUT REALIZE THAT I DONT HAVE THE OPTION OF A ZERO RATING.
