Similar to ITC Bukhara, brilliant Mughlai food. Focused on quality in a limited menu. Had chicken malai kebab, dal bukhara and chicken makhni - all of these dishes were spot on and brilliantly cooked. Malai kebab is arguably one of the best in the country. Nice calm poolside ambience and warm hospitality of ITC makes it better. ITC is an exception in terms of star hotels, probably one of the few that serve genuine and quality food.

Certainly the best North Indian restaurant in Bangalore. The Sikhandari Raan, Kebabs, Dal Bukhara and the Pudhina Parantha are some of best items on the menu.

Royal Afghan has been around for 40+ years in town, and it guarantees a fun dining experience straight out of the tandoor. Amid its not too expansive menu, our picks for the starters were the tandoori prawns and the murgh malai kabab, both superb. The mains comprised naan with chicken khurchan and the restaurant's signature daal bhukhara. The daal bhukhara was undoubtedly the star of the evening and a thing of joy! The service of the restaurant is on point, the seating is comfortable. There is no cutlery provided to keep the dining traditional and slurpy, an apron is provided in place of napkins on the same lines. Overall a 4.5/5 for me - the pocket pinch is quite something but is worth for what is offered!

We dined at Royal Afghan last night. We were a group of 5. 2 of them ordered non-veg and 3 of us had vegetarian food. Taste was good though but all of us have either gotten diarrhea / super uneasinesses / or upset stomach just after an hour of consuming the food. They even made us sign the waiver for no guarantee if consuming after more than 2 hours for the leftover food we got parceled. No wonder! Very much unexpected from the ITC

I really cant believe I am writing this but I had a disastrous service at Royal Afghan and they chose to ruin a perfect birthday dinner for us. Summary I decided to celebrate my wife's birthday at Royal Afghan for dinner with our daughter 5 year old....we went at 8 PM and as usual the place was busy with large family gathering and some foreigners.....they made us wait for each order as they were busy managing other tables chose to ignore us whole time......we just ordered one roti and Dal (for daughter) and one starter......they totally ignored us and my daughter slept off without proper food as we could not order.....the best part was the hotel management did not give proper service but ensured their ITC membership marketing was done timely by their staff and that's when we got opportunity to talk to them and tell please spare us this horror by giving bill as we wanted to get from the hotel ASAP. Thanks to the management of Royal Afghan for ruining a perfect family time....hope your large group table service were all fine nothing went short of perfect for them.

The food was pathetic and the service was hopeless. The meat was of poor quality. The cocktails and mocktails were poorly done. The service looked like we were in a government office, and the staff were plain grumpy and uninterested in their job. It is such a disgrace that once an iconic restaurant of Bangalore from many decades has fallen to such lows.
