Irrespective of what anyone has told about this place till now, i was really impressed with both the food and the ambience. Either i was really lucky to have a great experience here or the place is really worth trying. The menu is totally different from anything else you usually come across in South Indian eat outs. Must try is banana leaf idly, akki rotti and ofcourse puliogore. Do try out the sweets which is not so familiar but if you have taste for trying something new .. You should just try out everything here. I took back home even seven cup barfi and kobri mitai which was really worth buying. The utensils used does make a difference and you feel like home here. There's some sort of nostalgia in the ambience which adds to the entire experience. I thank my bestie Jaya for taking me here today. Just go with open mind and empty stomach!! Cheers:)

This place has my heart and it stands out distinctively from the rest of the south Indian tiffin centers. There is lot of elegance in the ambience which is a rare thing!! It's simple and yet so elegant. This not only serves as a visual treat as well as gives a calming effect. Every single thing in this places seems thoughtful. Right from having water filled in copper container , serving coffee in brass vessels , having wooden table and chairs .. everything adds to the experience. When it comes to the food the menu does has something interesting to offer. I truly liked the kind of combo options they have on the menu along with the individual items. I had several new things that i had not tried before in any of the tiffin centers. Its definitely worth a visit and many more visits after that !!

A Very Good Place To Have Authentic Iyengar Dishes like Nucchina Unde, Ragi Rotti, BaleYele Masale Idly,Halabai,Sweet Pongal,Mysore Masala Dosa & some delicious Combos like Mavinakayi Chitranna & Mango Rice Bath,Bisi Bele Bath & Curd Rice at affordable price. Place is well maintained with a traditional theme and some traditional artifacts. A whole lot of vegetarian options to enjoy. Service was good, place is clean and well maintained. This place is hv lot of options in sweets n Iyengar style food items breakfast items are also good with lot of varieties,But little cleanliness issue n slow food delivery because of less staff other than taste is good..

Used to be a good place for South Indian food but now the place looks like deserted hardly anyone visiting. We did take Combo breakfast which was ok not the expected taste. Even with few people the service was extremely slow. there are other better options in Basaveswarnagar

Not at all worth the hype, I was mislead by a YouTube video which said great things about this place which I was shocked to see nothing superficial about this place, I wonder what's so great if 50% of the menu isn't available by 7:30 PM in the evening. I had insisted the service person not to use banana leaf for the dosa while serving it, he was too careless. And the dosa batter was bland tasteless. Coffee served in a brass cup was average. I would still visit again to check if the restaurant is really of such high quality it deserves a praise on YouTube or is it misleading. The baleyele idly was not great as well. I overheard another customer saying sagu was stale which was served with Akki rotti. Ratings:- Overall: 1/5. Food: 2/5. Taste: 2/5. Ambiance:3/5.

Low quality, no taste waste of money they have to improve in everything otherwise do not run the hotel All dishes were sour ,not fresh,my stomach was upset next day

Visited this place few times, Samabar will not be hot, lost quality, instead of buying haabe vade, we can prepare better one in home with less effort.

This restaurant is closed for around 3 months now and the same is not even updated on Zomato. Only the nearby locals know of the closure.

Love their home style food but extremely unhygienic and dirty place. The tables are not cleared, cockroaches all over the place.
