I was told regardless of wherever I visit or not visit in Bengaluru I must try food at Veena Stores. So I was quite excited and rightly so. I visited in the evening just while they were re-opening for the second half of the day. There was little waiting time as food was still being prepared but there wasn’t much of a queue. I got idli-chutney and puliyogare. Total price was INR 85. Once you get the coupon you get your food at the counter and a person was serving and luring chutney next to it. The taste of the food was so simple yet so tasteful. The puliyogare had a very subtle mild flavour – hardly any heat or too many spices yet so good. The idlis were so soft that it felt as if I was munching on clouds. The softest, softest idlis I have eaten till this date. And both tasted so good with the chutney. Veena also has a very different seating arrangement that caught my eye, as can be seen in the pictures. It’s only benches and no tables. They seem to also have benches on the pavement that I saw were being set up as I left from there after finishing my food. A very satvik food experience (they do not use any onion or garlic in their food) and a true representation of the joys of simplicity. Will definitely visit again during the main hours to soak in the ambience of the place while tasting new dishes.

#veenastores Hello🌍 Today review is👇✍️ Veena stores known to be in bangalore since 1977 Every morning Veena Stores opens its doors at 7 am and closes by 1130 am. This place is so full and tiny They have two benches. Other than that...stand & eat This was super-soft idli..pillowy soft,spongy...complete melt in the mouth...the idli rice makes this so soft am told. The coconut chutney one can get second helping too The uppit...akki uppittu This was made with rice,onion,tomato,vegetables,greenchilli,ginger...spicy was so damn tasty

A must visit place for Breakfast. Had Idli, vade, Kharabath, Kesar bath, coffee and day special rice Idli is very soft and tastes good Uddin vade is very crisp and tasty Khara bath tastes good with some spicy taste with the green chilli and vegetables. Kesari bath, every bite has the banana and some kiss miss and kaju. Must try after the breakfast. Chutney with a flavour of coriander is good. Coffee is strong and good. Place is very busy. They have a small dine in. They also sell condiments. Overall worth a visit.

We dropped by to eat at Veena Stores. Terribly disappointed. The people who were serving were unclean. Theybwere touching the idles by had. They were not using the gloves. There was no gown. Their dress waa dirty. it was a pathetic to eat served by them. I wonder how people will eat there

Legendary outlet of namma Bengaluru. Finally visited here today with parents. Place was packed as usual. Ordered Idly, Khara bath, Kesari bath, coffee and Tea. Idly just melts in the mouth. Tastes great with chutney. Unlucky for us, they were out of Vada and Bisi bele baath. Khara bath was steaming hot and tasted good. Winner for us was the Kesari bath. It was mild yet so full of flavor and richness. Great texture. Puliogray tasted great.

breakfast visit to ”Veena Stores” The idli piping hot and delicate and vada super crispy till the last bite even after soaking the chutney. But the usp of place which happens to be the Savige Bath was somehow disappointing. Their was absolutely no taste, just bland.

Veena stores is considered an iconic eatery in Bangalore and i drove 12kms to try the food there. we reached there around 9:30am on a Sunday and there was quite the crowd. thankfully keeping with times, they have a digital kiosk where you can place the order and then pick up the food at the counter. there is bare minimum sitting space inside and a single bench placed on the pavement. very unlikely you'll get space to sit unless you go there early. we ordered idli vada and chow chow bath. The idli/vada comes only with chutney and no sambar. while the vada was super crispy, the idli was nothing to right home about (surprisingly). the kesari and khara bath combo was great but the quantity questionable. the coffee, was good but it's just 90ml probably, doesn't satiate. since we didn't think we would come back here again, we parceled the vangi bath and bisibelebath to try later. again, it was mediocre at best. probably this place used to serve great food at some point but not anymore!!!

kesari bhath... no ghee, cashews raisins. it's just liters of oil poured into preparation of kesari bhath. no taste...its just an over hyped outlet..

Such a hyped place. Please visit the roadside idli kiosk, but this place will be very disappointing. So I watched a few videos on youtube about this lace and decided to visit on sunday. so we traveled 14km. When we reached we got to know that there is no parking space at all. Theb we ordered some items , kesaribhath, idli chutney, coffee. While giving the coupon to the servant, he misread kesaribhath as kharabhath. When I corrected him, he loudly said it was kharabhath. I said it's not, again he shouted, the other customer told him that he was wrong. Then he gave us our order. Let's talk about food , everything was awful. Idly chutney was too too bland. Please dont fall for positive online reviews and youtube bloggs. Everything is sham.

I know this place since 30 years. it isn't the same as before. the idlis are undercooked and you can see powder of batter in between idli after its cold. . I feel sick all 3 times I ate there. my stomach was badly upset. I found hair in the chatni... workers keep sweating and touch food. it's more delicious... no more hygiene.... very disappointed. I ended up eating 3 times thinking food infection could be coincidence but no it's not. it's time they close.
