It was a runaway lunch after our visit to the Bangalore Zoo. The place gave a lot of Zaitoon vibes, as it wasn’t very distinct from other Arabian restaurants. It probably didn’t have a unique feel of its own. But I don’t want to be too harsh before actually reviewing the food. We started with half Alfaham Dajaj, which was lovely. The chicken was well marinated and cooked with ample flavor. The Mutton Shorba was nice too, though the pieces weren’t that great. However, the item I was most eager to try — the day’s special, Baby Octopus Tawa Fry — was superb. It looked and felt similar to squid, was a tad bit spicy, and tasted lovely. It gave a proper beachside fish-dish vibe. For the main course, we had the Zaatar Special Chicken Biryani, which included two types of biryani — one spicy and the other less spicy. It tasted good whether eaten separately or mixed together. The biggest disappointment was the Kozi Laham (we ordered the mutton version). It was just plain rice at the bottom with mutton pieces placed on top. The mutton was chewy and felt like frozen meat. Maybe the others were frozen too, but at least they weren’t machine-cut, so it didn’t feel as bad. The mutton here was definitely a letdown. We ended with a Salt Lime Soda, which wasn’t good as the lemon had been squeezed too much. The Lime Juice was decent. The Watermelon Juice was served cold despite us asking for a fresh, non-chilled one. Overall, there were more misses than hits. However, the mistakes felt like they were due to inexperience rather than negligence, so I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt — especially since the food itself tasted good.

The restaurant is amazing and the food is delicious, however the manager seemed a bit rude even on call and in person. The service was not up to the mark and the manager was not very welcoming. The AC was not working and they did not have any provision for table fans and upon checking with the manager he sounded very rude and reluctant. I would recommend take away to people as the food is good but the in person restaurant experience was very bad. The service was delayed and the manager was absolutely not welcoming.

Hi, visited zaatar Tin factory on Sunday, veg options were very less.. but thought to revisit the place after many years... service was pathetic.. ordered veg soup, got something else... and the order took so long... people after us were served... so I don't recommend zaatar for vegetarians and also pls not to visit... u will be disappointed.. Thanks

On new year's Eve, was enjoying the desert here (pineapple halwa) which was good so far, but then found this in one scoop which i was about to eat,, a dead cockroach, which can be seen clearly as well. Informed manager about it but no resolution provided. Immediately left the place afterwards. Very disappointed.

Don’t come , I repeat don’t come , revert your plans . Their AC doesn’t work , service is filthy , flies are endless . Veg options are limited . Zaatar used to be so good couple of years back . But now it’s no where near to good . I wish they improve service and customer experience.

The food was served after 50 minutes of waiting. We had ordered sizzler platters. The veg platter was really bad. Just a bunch of veggies drenched in oil. Non-veg platter was okayish. Nothing was worth the wait of almost an hour!

The food here is unhygienic. Ordered a Zaatar special bbq, which was old & spoiled. Their branch in Krpuram is much more decent.
