Been to Desiii By Smrutisree with my friends and my daughter. Absolutely superb place with A+ service. Infact our masterchef herself checked on us for anything that is needed and that added a personal touch to the already delicious food that was server. We were 6 people and we ordered different thalis and each dish in the thali had a uniqueness of its own. My daughter who often throws tantrums at other places when we dine outside, she absolutely ate more here , than her what she eats usually and to my surprise she did not even ask for any distraction to eat the food. Coming to the dishes, i cannot name any because all the items were superb. I stay outside Bhubaneswar so i will make it a point to visit Desiii every time i visit BBSR.

Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food that was good: Chingudi patrapoda [Both taste & quantity were good], Kankada tarakari [Good quality crab, big size], Chhenapoda, Mutton curry Food that could have been better: Pomfret fry [Inside of the fish was not holding well together, probably had applied watery masala on the fish], Dahi baigana [Brinjal was not cooked properly] Not that pricey, value for money. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service was prompt. Brought the food in the correct sequence. Waiters/waitresses were quick in the service. However, communication from the floor manager/host needs improvement. Ambience: ⭐⭐ It can be a little crowded & stuffy. The washroom area has a safety hazard that needs immediate attention.

As an Odia, who was born and brought up in Bhubaneswar, I usually don't go out to have traditional Odia food but some special occasions do arise once in a while. Places like these are great spots for taking your non-odia friends to, and introducing them to Odia cuisine. Really liked the Mutton jhola with the traditional Odia Thali.

The food was uniformly good. Portion sizes were adequate. Service is very warm and welcoming. Good experience.

The restaurant doesn't accept payment through Zomato. So, you can't use Zomato dine-in offers and discounts. However, the quality and flavor of the dishes we ordered were good.

It was my first visit and they made sure it was my last without even having us try their food. The owner of the restaurant, Miss Smrutisree, is nothing like we had seen on instagram. She is so ill mannered that we had to cancel the order and leave.

Waiter seems to be handpicked, they talk as if they will hit you any moment. Food : Just average 2.5/5 ambiance: 2/5 Restroom: 1/5 by luck I found the wash basin . Price moderately high to what they served.
