Quality 1.5/1.5 Quantity 1/1 Ambience 0.5/0.5 Service 0.5/1 Overall impression 1/1 If you are in the twin cities for a few days or years, don't leave before visiting this place. Went to this roadside restaurant near Nandan Kanan Gate 1 on a busy December Saturday Afternoon. It took some time to fetch a seat, some more time to bring the waiter in place to take our order. But judging by the enormity and massive crowd in situ, even our hungry stomach accepted it. With both outdoor (covered) and indoor facility it caters great numbers at once and still it's all filled up, such is the demand. Ordered: Starters: Green Salad, Baans Pora Chicken, Baans Pora Mutton, Pora Prawn. Absolutely amazing dishes all of them with massive quantities. Mains: Mixed Fried Rice, Chicken Drumsticks Masala. Again, top notch by quality and quantity. Had plans to sum up the meal only with their special dishes but Gunduri & Biriyani were out of stock hence went by the waiter's suggestions and must mention "Dadu" didn't disappoint! No dessert option available. Recommendations: Frankly, all of them! Loved the food thoroughly! Order judiciously because quantity is beyond expectations as per price and demand, making it one of the finest value for money destination in town! Food were served fast enough. Don't expect fibre plates, fancy waiters, you won't need them actually. The place is well decorated with swings, birds and fountains and the jungle vibes get real with monkey jumping over the shades. Lovely and Memorable experience!

Not everyone likes to go and have food in a posh restaurant . Some like it to go for the desi style and when it comes to desi style this restaurants this is the first place to be on my mind. This restaurant has a full jungle theme decor with and varities of birds to see. This restaurant also serves all kind of bamboo made chicken , mutton and many more..for people who love to try different dishes this place serves small sparrow meat which you usually do not get in a restaurant . So do give it a try. Coming to the price this is a budget friendly restaurant and really good for weekends. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently visited a restaurant and tried their bamboo chicken and chicken valentine dishes, and I must say, I was impressed. The bamboo chicken was cooked to perfection and had a unique smoky flavor that was delightful. The chicken valentine had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the tender chicken was a joy to eat. The service at the restaurant was also exceptional, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy some delicious chicken dishes.

Wish zomato let me upload videos, but well, here we are.. A great place for some authentic bamboo mutton. The briyani is great too, its light and yet full of flavours. The only concern I had was the seating area was kinda hectic, its a single big circular table and different people sit together, which isn't helpful if you want to go out or come in. But the food quality is top class We also had rogan josh mutton and it was tasty as well. The mutton dishes are one of the best I had in orissa, for sure! It’s a bit out side city limits. Getting transport could be a challenge. Limited mobile network. Food was tasty and value for money. Hygiene is an issue. There were too many flies during lunch time. Smell from bathroom was noticeable at dining area. A cat was continuously rubbing against my legs! Too much rush. Service is pathetic. We got a seat after 20 minutes of entering, the waiter came to take order after 20 mins even after repeated request. They forgot to deliver items. Added items which weren’t ordered to the bill. One masala cold drinks and one extra water bottle. Because of the rush we just settled and preferred to get out of the place than nagging over some small amounts. Yes, I didn’t tip because of this.

This resturant is situated on Nandankanan road. Ambience is so cool and calm. I feel like homely atmosphere. Some birds are also kept in one corner of this resturant, which is really nice and beautiful. It is good resturant for spending time with family. In food point of view bamboo chicken must be recommended. I would like to taste it again. U can also try chicken curry. Pocket friendly. Service was ok. I feel one problem is that this is little bit anterior and I faced some problems in mobile networks. Food- 4/5 Ambience-3.5/5 Service-3/5

“Jungle View Has Lost Its Touch” We recently visited Jungle View 2 for lunch and ordered their much-talked-about Bamboo Chicken Biryani—the very dish that once defined Jungle View and brought it into the spotlight among food lovers. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. As often seen in the food business, after achieving name, fame, and increased demand, the focus seems to have shifted from quality to quantity. Sadly, the very reason Jungle View earned its reputation no longer seems to hold true. The Bamboo Chicken Biryani, priced at ₹400 (only ₹50 more than the regular Chicken Biryani), should justify the additional cost through the authentic bamboo-cooked experience. The biryani is expected to be cooked inside bamboo—not merely served in it. However, it appeared to be regular, pre-cooked biryani simply packed into pre-burnt/charred bamboo. There was no steam, no aroma, and no sign of freshly cooked biryani—something one expects even from a standard handi-served biryani. When I raised this concern, the waiter politely offered to replace it. After waiting an additional 20 minutes, the biryani returned slightly warmer but still lacked the signature bamboo-cooked flavor. The biryani was served with an egg in the gravy, which was extremely thin and watery, almost diluted. The egg itself was ice-cold, so hard that it couldn’t be cut with a spoon. It felt as though it had been refrigerated, thawed, and then added to the gravy. To make matters worse, the gravy didn’t even resemble chicken biryani—it tasted more like shrimp curry. In short: No bamboo-cooked flavor No proper chicken biryani gravy Cold egg We had also ordered Egg Masala. While the gravy was genuinely good, the eggs themselves were cold again—clearly pre-cooked and stored—while the gravy was only lukewarm. A similar issue occurred with the Masala Papad. The papad was cold and stale, with settled oil and a chilled salad topping. Upon enquiry, the waiter informed us that the papads are fried between 11 AM and 12 PM and stocked in advance; during service, only the masala is added and the papad is served as is—without reheating. Having a cold papad with chilled toppings on a winter afternoon was a complete turn-off. The biryani experience only worsened what was already a disappointing meal. I’ve dined at Jungle View several times in the past and had pleasant experiences. However, it now feels like the restaurant is relying heavily on tourist footfall, prioritizing speed and volume over freshness and authenticity. While this approach may work commercially, it risks alienating returning local customers who remember and value the quality Jungle View once stood for. From a business perspective, the growth is evident—but sadly, the soul of the food seems to be missing.

I went out for lunch on 28th Nov around 2 pm. And almost after 30 mins got a table for my family. The table was very unhygienic and then I have asked them to clean that properly. When we asked for biriyani they said not available, when asked for masala papad first they said not available then gave us a fried papad with some crushed cucumber on it. We have ordered Butter naan, mixed fried rice, bamboo chicken and chilli chicken. In place of butter naan they gave us plain naan and that is too hard even not fresh. Same with bamboo chicken. It's like yesterday chicken, in mixed fried rice there is hardly any chicken and prawn pieces. After eating this kind of food I immediately rushed to washroom. In my life I never ever had such experience. It's a waste of time, money and health.

Been to this place for having a lunch with my relatives. We had to wait for a long time to get a table. Ambience is decent if you sit on openspace and inside room its not at all decent. Coming to the food, we had ordered Mutton, Chicken, rice, dal. Presentation of foods were not good at all. Served at right temperature. Coming to the taste, it was not good. Here's my drill down review. Ambience: 1/5 Cleanliness: 1/5 Temperature of food: 5/5 Presentation of food: 0/5 Taste of food: 1/5 Behavior of staffs: 3/5 Worth of money: 1/5
