The worst restaurant I have come across in my entire life of 62 years. They are advertising as authentic Odia cuisine! They are spoiling the name of Odia cooking and food. The thali they give is worthless. It has rice, dal, mixed bhaja, kakharufula bhaja, salad, achar and papad (costing Rs200/-). The special thali has an added item of one curry (cost Rs.300/-). The mixed bhaja has alu bharta, saaga, and two bhajas. The alu bharta is just smashed boiled potatoes, Saaga and bhajas were not bhajas at all. All these “mixed bhaja” are not worth taking. I asked for take home parcel of thalis on 15th April 2022 at Odisha Hotel, Patia, Bhubaneswar. The bill is attached herewith I went to the restaurant at 12.30 PM. The manager sitting at the counter took at least 5 minutes to listen to me although there was no rush at that time; only one family taking food. It seems, there was some big order on phone, and he was talking about it to some near one. I gave order for one veg thali and one chicken thali. As they don’t give any roti/paratha in the thali, asked for two parathas in addition. When asked what curry they provide in thali, he said that they don’t provide curry in normal thali, I have to take special thali for an addition of a curry. He said paneer curry will be added. As I was interested for authentic Odia dishes, I ordered “nadiabara curry”, written on the black board that day, as an extra item. The manager went in, came back after about 5 minutes to tell me that nadiabara is not available. He gave me the bill as attached, and took payment. I sat on a run-down bench in front of the counter for about half an hour. Then one waiter came in hurry and gave me a carry-bag with food saying that it was mine. I brought the food to home at about 10 Kms away (I had gone to get authentic Odia food for me and my wife, both senior citizens. At home when we opened the carry bag, there was no paratha, no curry, no achar! Preparation of the so-called mixed bhaja and dal was worst ever. My advice, not only avoid this group of restaurants, but tell all near and dear ones, as they are spoiling the name of Odisha.

Visited a restaurant near Trident in Bhubaneswar with my family on the evening of 4th April, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. We ordered vegetarian items Chenna Tarkari, Mushroom Besar Rai, roti, and rice expecting decent quality but the food was too bad in taste However, the rice served had a strong unpleasant smell and was clearly not fresh. When we raised the issue, the manager admitted that the rice had been prepared in the morning. What was even more shocking was the explanation given that due to a shortage of gas, they were unable to prepare fresh food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about food hygiene and quality standards. Serving stale food to customers is not just disappointing but also unsafe. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their practices. Until then, I would advise others to be cautious.

I visited Odisha Hotel on 24th July 2022. I had heard a lot about this place, and hence had high hopes. But was really unhappy with the quality of food there. What I didn’t like (in detail)? 1. Khasi Mansa Curry (Mutton curry): The mutton was completely uncooked. 2. Aloo Bharta: This was the most disheartening part. The aloo bharta was stinking badly. It was at least a day old. 3. Sweet lime soda: The lime soda was somewhat yellowish in color, with oil and brown coloured particles floating all over it. The hotel staff claimed, that it was due to a sugar syrup used. But I am very sure, instead of a sugar syrup, the hotel had used the sheera of Gulab Jamun. Additionally, we had to remind the hotel staff for the food multiple times. Overall, an extremely bad experience, with unhygienic food.

I visited this hotel on 12 Jan 2024 boasting high about this hotel to my friends and must say that it was a disaster to go there. I have seen the quality deteriorated over a period of last 1 year. Today’s food was one of the worst quality in my life. It would have been better to have food from a road side vendor.

I visited Odisha Hotel today( 22.1.23) along with my family and friends. I had not experienced such worst food anywhere. Earlier the hotel was good but recently it had deteriorated so much so that the level has come to zero.

Staff is unprofessional and ignorant. Restaurant runs out of menu items while you are dining and don't even bother to tell you while you waste your time aimlessly. Avoid wasting your time and money here.

Worst Service. They asked us to vacate the table even before we finished our desserts. Food taste pretty average with high price.
