A recent visit to Daryaganj Restaurant at HLP Galleria, Mohali turned out to be a truly exceptional dining experience. Known for reviving the rich culinary heritage of Old Delhi, the restaurant has been gaining immense popularity—and after experiencing it firsthand, the hype feels well deserved. One important thing to note is the waiting time, which can go up to 1 to 1.5 hours during peak hours. However, the moment you step inside and experience the food and service, you realize that the wait is absolutely worth it. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it ideal for both family dinners and casual outings. What truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. A special mention to Priyesh, who was extremely polite, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. He ensured that we were well taken care of and managed everything with great efficiency and warmth, which added a personal touch to the overall experience. Coming to the food, the Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken were undoubtedly the stars of the meal. The Dal Makhani was rich, creamy, and slow-cooked to perfection, offering a deep, authentic flavor that reflects true North Indian tradition. Its texture and balance of spices were simply outstanding. The Butter Chicken was equally impressive—perfectly cooked, with tender pieces of chicken immersed in a smooth, flavorful gravy. The taste was well-balanced, not overly sweet, and had that classic richness that one expects from an authentic preparation. Overall, Daryaganj delivers more than just food—it offers a complete experience rooted in tradition, quality, and hospitality. Despite the waiting time, the exceptional flavors, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service make it a place worth visiting. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic North Indian cuisine in Mohali.

Last night, I visited Daryaganj, Mohali with my husband—who is a professional food blogger—and our kids, and it turned out to be a memorable dining experience. To be honest, the only downside was the long waiting time. We had to wait for around 1.5 hours, mainly because the seating capacity is quite limited. It can definitely test your patience, especially when you’re with family. However, once we got our table and the food arrived, everything changed. We ordered their signature Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani, and both dishes truly lived up to the hype. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with authentic flavors, while the dal makhani was incredibly smooth, buttery, and slow-cooked to perfection. Every bite felt indulgent and satisfying. Even from a food blogger’s perspective, my husband was quite impressed with the authenticity and taste, which says a lot about the quality of food here. The overall dining experience, despite the wait, was absolutely worth it. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend going with some extra time in hand—but trust me, the food will make you forget the wait! Highly recommended for all North Indian food lovers 👍

Tried Daryaganj and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The Original Butter Chicken is a must-try—rich, perfectly balanced, and genuinely one of the most delicious versions out there. The New Butter Chicken is a bit on the sweeter side, so go for it only if you enjoy a sweeter gravy profile. The Dal Makhni is good—rich in flavour and topped with white butter—but not outstanding compared to the rest of the dishes. The breads are excellent across the board. The Garlic Naan and Laccha Parantha are spot on—fresh, well-made, and pair perfectly with everything on the table. Overall, a great place for authentic North Indian food, especially for a top-notch butter chicken experience. A special mention to Mr. Priyesh (Manager) and Mr. Manoj (Chef)—both were attentive, great listeners, and truly understood customer preferences, making the entire experience even better.

The experience was very bad. Service was extremely poor. We ordered breads, with main course but the dishes came first but the breads came after 20 minutes of placing the order, leaving the dishes cold. Serving staff seemed completely inexperienced.

Hell service , staff was so inexperienced. Not worth total waste of money and time . Waiting is just a drama created by Daryaganj team . When we reached for a dinner only 50% was occupied, but staff was asking that you have to wait for 30 mins .
