It is so strange that a such an amazing place has a rating of 3.5 on Zomato. I had a lovely experience. Loved the broccoli and bean white sauce pasta, I mean it was so good that if I would have been at my place I would have licked the pasta sauce from the plate. Along with that we had cappuccino, it was upto the mark. And the chocolate waffle was super tempting and delicious. The ambience is beautiful, dim lights slow music. Perfect for date. All in all lovely experience. One thing, it would have been even better if service was a little fast. Will definitely visit again. Keep up the good service!

If you are an italian cuisine lover, you must try this place. I promise you, once you have a bite of their food, you’ll never go back to those fancy, good for nothing places ever. Pasta, lasgna, pizza, burgers, coffee…….. You name it. The chef/owner makes the best food for you and I can bet you can’t find anything better than that in whole Chandigarh. Just go for it!!!

The chef of this place definitely deserves five stars and all thumbs up. The food is magic. We ordered sundried tomato and spinach pizza and mushroom pasta. Both of them were heavenly. We would definitely come again. 👍😍

The food was warm and coffee was strong. I hadn't planned my visit here, like most of times I eat out. This was a spontaneous decision, and I am glad I visited. We tried the following items: 1. Potato wedges - 4/5 - the quantity was the star here, and the wedges were freshly made and crisp. But instead of the sour cream as per the menu, mayo was served on the side. 2. Cappuccino - 4/5 - good coffee. The complementary muffin was really good. 3. Hazelnut Latte - 4/5 - again, good coffee. But a little strong. Latte should be a bit smoother. 4. Mushroom croque - 4/5 - there was not enough mustard flavour in this one, but apart from that, the cheese rich dish was delicious. There were some issues with the ambience though. The place doesn't feel sparkly clean; the table had some crumbs on it, and the chairs didn't seem all that clean either. The lighting is also way too dim. A little more light, at least on the tables would be appreciated. And the major thing was kitchen smoke. I like open kitchens, I really do. But if there is a lack of proper ventilation, they can turn into a problem, real quick. And this happened during my visit too. For some reason, the chef turned on the chimney too late, by that time the fumes were causing discomfort to all the patrons. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I may visit again, if I am ever around the parts.

Truly a mesmerizing experience. The coffee is the best I have ever had. The pizzas are exquisite with original cheese and full flavours that too on a thin base. Pasta is undoubtedly authentic with taste and quality in abundance. What hampers the experience a little bit is the quantity of pasta and veggies in the pasta which was way too less in my opinion. The service is much slower than other brands but because they make things fresh it can be considered alright. Pizza and coffee on the other hand make up for the quantity as pizzas are large and coffee is too much which is an added benefit. The coffee is the best I have ever had amongst all the restaurants or cafes like Starbucks, Ovenfresh, Nik Bakers, Barista, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf etc.

This place has a very cosy and quiet atmosphere. The staff seems a little inexperienced. We ordered a Cappuccino and a Hazelnut Latte, both were amazing. The Grilled Chicken Croque also tasted good. It's a good place to hangout if you want a peaceful environment. Food - 4/5 Service - 3.5/5 Ambience - 4.5/5

Went there to have a drink. Ordered Watermelon iced tea, which tasted just like a sharbat and nothing like iced tea. This place is located in market of sector 16 which is always empty. The ambience is good but the area is very small.

I visit books and brew quite often and was eyeing to visit the french press cafe for quite a while. I went to the cafe and it was as empty as a graveyard at night. I ordered a cappuccino for myself while working and was also waiting for my partner to arrive. Approximately after an hour the owner sends his employee to tell me to leave as I didn’t order anything else till that point of time. Keeping in mind I was waiting for somebody to arrive and eating beforehand and being done with the meal seems inappropriate. I left politely without complaining about their ‘warm’ behaviour. I went straight to books and brew, met my partner there and had loads of fun and food. I often used to wonder that how come such a nice cafe is so dead, definitely can’t be a parking issue because if it were that, then how come books and brew is always brimming. At the end of the day I didn’t need to wonder anymore as the owner solved the puzzle for me, thanks sir. I must have been wasting time as the notice points but I want to know what was the harm caused in waiting there, as I wasn’t even occupying table which other people could have used AS THE CAFE WAS DEAD DURING PEAK HOURS.
