Full fan of maan saab, cool place you can read lots of gud msgs while enjoying your food. Must try handi dal tadka cooked in deshi ghee and specially tea.

Sethi Dhaba is located in Dera Bassi and its bang on the highway that connects Ambala & Chandigarh. Its a vegetarian restaurant & famous for its stuffed paranthas & "Makhkhan" - White Butter. We have been here multiple times & love the paranthas here. The paranthas are pretty decent in their size & one is sufficient ro satiate your hunger. The Dhaba has spacious outdoor & indoor seating area. For the more enterprising one's, they have put Charpayi or the Manji (as they refer it as in Punjab) where you can take the feel of our beautiful Punjab village culture. Spacious Parking area available here as well. The stuff that we tried here are mentioned below :- - Aloo Parantha : Adequate stuffing & nice flavour. It was a Tandoori Parantha & we had requested to make it crisp & they obliged us with the same. Served with a huge knob of "Makhkhan". They also provide two pickles alongwith it. Tasty indeed. - Gobhi Parantha : Equally good stuffing & flavour. Nicely diced gobhi together with onions & green chillies. Delicious. - Paneer Parantha : Huge stuffing of Paneer there. Pretty heavy on the stomach. - Makhkhan : You can have this as much as you want. It tastes fresh & pure. You would love it. - Tea : This was a pure winner. I am not a tea lover, however, I relished the tea here. Its just perfect. The prolonged heating of tea gives it a very peculiar flavour which will make you crave for more. All in all, a pretty pleasing experience here. We came to know that they serve paranthas here day & night. They also serve Tawa Paranthas as well, which are equally good. A must try place. A very unique ambience to experience at this place. Has a so called desi live music. Really loved the interiors and the seating which gives a pure punjabi touch. Loved the food, especially the daal. One of the best I’ve had so far.

It had been on my list for quite sometime, and I was way too disappointed with my experience. The ambience was good . All the quotes written here and there were good to read, music was great . Now comes the service , the table was so dirty, we asked the waiter 3-4 times , to clean. He was so reluctant to clean and was cleaning it making it more of a mess . Finally , we compromised and ordered food. Food was too spicy. Lacha parantha and Butter naan and kadhi were the only dishes, i liked . Dal makhani and mushroom masala are not even to be tried . According to my family, it has lost its old charm. Not to be visitied again.

I had to wait for 30 minutes for the menu, despite asking the manager/cash counter person twice, no one even bought a menu. Total high headedness of the chain. Had to finally leave without even getting the menu.
