A sudden craving for Atho made me travel all the way from Gopalapuram to Parrys corner. What's a foodie who doesn't do even this for food? I was bored to try places alone so I made sure my friend finished his work a hour earlier, dragged him out to the streets and made him eat out with me. After devouring a healthy (read as unhealthy) portion of atho, we decided to try shawarmas that are famous in this part of the city. I remembered a friend saying that Alreef's shawarma is one of the best in town. So we headed out to Alreef and this review is based on that experience.  Mannadi street is a foodie's secret comfort food street. The line up of atho shops and shawarma joints throng this already cramped up area stands as a testimony for this. The roads are narrow so forget the idea of bringing a car. Usually parking is an issue at other places, driving a car to this place itself is an issue here. Alreef was easy to spot thanks to it's illuminated nameboard.  There is a good amount of parking space for two wheelers. There are some places where the ambience and service must not be questioned at all and this one was one of those places. The ambience was still decent and not that bad types.  The outdoor kitchen unit has the shawarma set up along with the chicken grillers and tikkas and kebabs in skewers. We went with two shawarmas. At 60rs each they were ultimate value for money. It was served with pickled slices of beetroot, cucumber and chilli. The pickles were yummy. Shawarma was just out of this world. The amount of chicken and the fact that it was so succulent made it awesome. Though our country's take on the Turkish Shawarma a.k.a Doner Kebab is a questionable one, when it comes to taste, it's was as good as the original.  Overall, it was a perfect evening and we went home with a happy heart and a filled up tummy. Mannadi is a hidden gem when it comes to some awesome street food that's definitely gotta be tried.

Alreef is situated in the closest proximity from my office. My father and I buy our dinner from this place for a long time. I love their quality food. I never wrote any review so far. This is my appreciation post for Alreef for serving only the best food as always. I highly recommend people to try their grill chicken which is absolute treat to your mouth and their kebabs.

Hey guys! Al reef waah it's a restaurant in mannady which arouse u to try their grill chicken while crossing that side. Dishes: *Grill chicken *Shawarma (even their plate shawarma is yum) *BBQ chicken *Mainly their garlic mayo with all 3 above increase their taste tremendously Guys if u cross this place these r must try

Wanted to go to this place since long, since once it was listed in best shawarma spots. I only had the shawarma. It was very very mediocre. The kuboos was also very dry and the stuffing was mostly cabbage and less mayo and chicken. Overall it was very okayish. Maybe that's why this place was scraped off from best sharma places.
