Loved the ambience The red thai prawn curry was exceptional For dessert lovers it a go to place: we tried the creme brulee, lemon tart & chocolate bon bon : everything was exquisite 10/10 : would highly recommend this place

I’ve been visiting Amethyst since I was a child and have continued to frequent it as an adult, often bringing friends and hosting small gatherings. Unfortunately, my recent experience while attempting to finalise a reservation for 16 guests was deeply disappointing. During my interaction with the staff, the tone was dismissive and condescending. At one point, remarks were made that implied I may not be able to afford the cover charge being discussed. Regardless of the situation, no guest should be spoken to in a manner that questions their financial capacity or feels undermining. The issue was not about cost — I had clearly expressed willingness to meet the financial terms. It was about professionalism and respect. This interaction has unfortunately changed my perception of a place I once associated with warmth and hospitality. Will not be giving my business here from now on.

The ambience is nice. But the service is really questionable…my sister had come to visit me and she wanted to visit here, when we first entered and asked at the reception that we have a reservation, they just waived off saying sit wherever. Then we had to search for a place ourselves and later I asked someone to give me a place, he pointed at a table which just got vacated, gave it to us uncleaned. When the person attending us handed out the cutlery, it was all wet and unclean…the food was not properly cooked. No one bothered to properly attend us at the restaurant, the service was very poor. Later I asked to have one dish parcelled, which they again messed up. Overall, the ambiance is not everything for which you pay a bomb, the staff should be courteous and humble, they should be polite and should attend the customers properly.

The food was sub standard today. I ordered Digestive Elixir it was not at all cold. The sweet potato fries were too soft and badly done, the salad was so badly made. The fruit used was too soft, no bite to it, the blue cheese wasn’t mixed well. Such a waste of my precious time and all the money I paid for the bad food.

Still sitting here. Had to make phone calls twice to get an attendant and waiting since almost an hour for one fish & chips. Called once for food but to no avail. All show-no go.

The food was amazing but the menu is not specified at all. It would be better for them to upgrade their menu otherwise, the food was great
