We were excited about this restaurant ever since the signboard went up. They took quite a long time to launch, which only added to the hype. I'm not sure if it was just us, though. My partner had been raving about the Ashok Nagar branch, which made me even more curious to try this place. Based on my partner's recommendation, I was most excited to try the Prawn Chatti Soru and Vethala Payasam. Unfortunately, both were unavailable, along with quite a few other dishes. It was disappointing to have limited options, but at least we were glad that the food was selling out, which probably meant they were serving everything fresh. Here's what we tried: Moru Moru Chicken 65 – Think KFC meets Chettinad. Crispy, tasty, and an interesting twist on the classic. Mutton Muttai Varuval – Terrific. I was a bit skeptical because I generally don't like mixing meats, but this was absolutely fabulous. In fact, it was the standout dish of the meal. Mutton Kheema Dosa – Didn't do much for me. Being from Madurai and having grown up eating Kari Dosai, it's hard for anything else to match up. Chicken Kari Soru – Nice and flavorful, but just a tad too spicy for my liking. Kozhi Vadai – Lovely. No complaints at all. Special Chicken Kothu Rice – I couldn't make out much difference between this and the Kari Soru, except that this was less spicy and suited our palate better. Egg Lappa – Good, but the filling was quite sparse. Goli Soda – A staple. Rose Milk – Decent. Cold Elaneer Payasam – I was told it was nice. Overall, it was a decent outing, but I still want to go back and try the two signature dishes my partner recommended. Maybe I'll update this review once I do.
