had a great time. place was really nice. it was pretty crowded kn Jan 1 but we got a seat. food was great. the gilli biriyani was especially unique and flavourful. grilled shrimp were massive and juicy. mutton kebab was generic. but soft and hot. waiters, table boy, manager all really friendly and helpful. bill was over 6k inr (expected high price)

Had a great stay at taj coramendal. my friends and I stayed there for one day. wonderful hospitality with amazing breakfast with many spread. Mr. Suresh service was really good in the anise restaurant and he was doing a great job. lunch buffet was normal only.

Taj hotels had a mark nationwide for service and hospitality. They had been the epitome of hospitality for decades and looks like after the demise of Sir Ratan Tata the hotel is loosing it’s service standards. The wait staff seem to be inadequate in managing the needs of the customers. They seem to forget the basic needs for the customers. In it’s golden age when you are in Taj the waitstaff would never have you second guessing for anything. Impeccable service you just turn and they would get the job done. Alas now you ask for a simple basket of pappads and they need to be reminded twice. The lunch buffet is decent. The options and variety are reasonable. The place can get packed. The chicken Briyani was a disappointment. Explained this to the chef. The dessert section was great and had a good selection of Indian and western desserts. The ginger punch was good. The vegetarian options was decent as well. Over all miss the old Taj and RIP Ratan Tata at this rate Taj will be sold to new owners

My parents and I went during Christmas for a Sunday brunch and they had a wide spread of food items ranging from Indian to Mediterranean and even Italian. The food tasted absolutely delightful. Although it was priced higher than usual Sunday brunch, overall it was a memorable experience.

Went here four days back. We waited half an hour for them to prepare the Biryani (which is understandable), the table mats had stains on them and had to ask them to give us a different table (usually won't complain but it's Taj, they should stay upto standards). The Biriyani was too oily, had a heartburn after eating it, only was able to eat little cuz it was hot and we were hungry in the night. Even in road stalls they won't use this much oil to make Biriyani. I didn't complain about this. I only got super pissed when I had to ask them thrice to get a finger bowl and I waited an additional half an hour for them to just give the check. Totally we spent one hour after eating Biriyani just to leave. When I asked the manager he didn't even look at me properly and talk, he made me come near the kitchen and pay and then he told me that I was supposed to wait for finger bowl because they have to bring it from another restaurant (they didn't even tell me where the washroom was so I asked the waiter to at least get me a finger bowl and this reason was never given to me when I asked them three times where it was). I got pissed, and when I told him my parents and I are regulars here to Taj he got scared, told him to at least face and talk to his customers no matter if they are younger or are not dressed that fancy (why will I be fully dressed up at 1:30 am to eat Biriyani). Told him that if I'm paying 1800 for the food here, I should receive a good experience. He got so scared and begged me to sit and asked me to pick a dessert. Overall. the food and the service is so bad. Save yourself the money and your self respect and eat in a proper Biriyani stall (the place sounded like a fish market too)

Stayed at Taj Coromandel for 3 Nights. The breakfast spread was amazing with lots of variety to choose from with live counters. The filter coffee was excellent. Special mention about the service especially by Kuppuswamy and Shreya. Shreya went above and beyond to get fresh apple juice for my daughter.

Anise Restaurant located in @tajcoromandel conducted Taj Mahotsav Awadhi Sunday Brunch which served Awadhi dishes along with their usual buffet menu. Spread was huge with Awadhi special welcome drinks, starters, main course, desserts and chocolates. Live counters includes pasta, pizza and chaat. Pizza was extremely good and one of the best pizza I had. Lots of Awadhi special Biriyani and Main Courses were available. Lots of desserts were available including Indian, Continental, Western Desserts and lots of chocolate bar varieties were available. Yummy Mango, Vanilla Icecreams were available including homemade Filter Coffee Icecream. All the dishes were extremely premium in taste and quality with amazing hospitality.

We went there for evening tea and ordered snacks . We had aloo green peas samosa , bread sandwiches & black coffee . We really enjoyed it. Quality is just ultimate and filling too. Price is bit higher but worth it . Should plan for lunch next time. Overall well spent evening

HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN.....recently went there for christmas eve dinner ......the food was not upto the mark . The service was mediocre ....nd they switched off the air conditioning in between . Disappointing to say the least..

Mr. Pandyan (AM) at anise has great attitude towards coustmer and goes extra mile to fulfill the request 👏👏 Kudos to you 👍 Keep up the great work!
