We had visited this restaurant about a few days back. And we totally loved the ethnic ambience . We were six of us and we had already reserved a table for us. We were also seated right behind a beautiful idol of goddess Anna Lakshmi. We also loved the idea of a pink carpet for a ceiling with the lovely gold chandeliers. Coming to the food, we first ordered soups. Tomato and broccoli soups. My mom and me decided on the tomato soup. We all had mango ginger and honey juice . It was very refreshing and delicious, but yes the ginger taste was a bit over powering. My nephew had his favourite chocolate milk shake and enjoyed it a lot . we decided to go in for the North Indian thali, where we were served malai paneer, vegetable gravy, pumpkin morkozhumbu, carrot chili cheese paratha, which was very good. And we also loved the butter naan. The pumpkin morkozhumbu thick and quite bland too. We were also served raitha as an accompaniment. Also loved the rava idli with tomato gotsu, which made a good combination though we felt the gotsu was slightly spicy. We also loved the mango rice. Dry fruit pulao too was very fragrant and aromatic. Coming to the South Indian course, we were served quite a no of powders like parupu podi, curry leaves powder, and a few more interesting ones. We also loved the taste of the sambar rice, and vetakozhumbu rice. There was also potato curry, which was also very delicious. Others also loved brinjal rice but as I don’t like brinjal I did not taste it . We ended our meal with curd rice , which was also yummy. For dessert we had gulab jamun and Ada Pradaman . I liked the gulab jamun a lot, but not the payasam much. I also finished my meal with a filter coffee, which was very nice and just the way I like it, medium strong . All in all we had a great experience at the restaurant. Service was also very fast. And the ambience was lovely. We will surely visit again to try more of the menu which changes every day!

Been there for lunch along with extended family. It was a very nice experience, starting from the booking process. It was crowded but the restaurant is spacious to mitigate, on a Saturday afternoon. I would have liked them to mention that only Thali option is available, It makes sense for Zomato to mention as well. Other than that food was super good , serving right portions and friendly on stomach for aged people as well. Only sore points were, Vatha Kuzhambu was not tastier and the curd rice needs improvement. Little pricey but worth. Will go again if an opportunity comes.

Good : Ambience Moderate : Food, nothing great - price is for ambience Bad : Service, the waiters seem to be not trained to work at a fine dining restaurant - in terms of etiquette. I think there warmer service from Sangeeta restaurant.

Due to one Mr. MURUGAN .. This was probably the most awful experience i have had at this place which i have grown up to visit at all special occasions. My entire family had been served meals while i waited for my salad i was nibbling from my dad’s plate coz the wait was way too long and i wasn’t even informed that a salad order will take an eternity to arrive. So then comes Mr Murugan.. and tell me i cannot nibble the carrot bhajji from my dad’s plate and stood there till i kept the food back. This experience was rather humiliating to say the least. And offset the entire mood for me and my family. Its not that we didnt order for everyone.. you were late in bringing the food and didnt even even bother to inform, I know your meals are unlimited hence you wouldn’t want food sharing but this behaviour is really not warranted.

Deeply disappointed. After years of visiting for special occasions ruined today by the unprofessionalism of Mr. MURUGAN While my own meal was significantly delayed, Mr. Murugan chose to publicly reprimand and hover over me for taking a single bite from my father’s plate. I understand the 'no-sharing' policy, but Mr. Murugan’s aggressive enforcement and lack of situational awareness were both unnecessary and humiliating. It is jarring to see such poor hospitality from a staff member at an establishment we have patronized for so long.

I understand there was a delay in starting the lunch ..so close was 5 min delayed. The restaurant manager was giving continuous warnings and 2specific problems 1. The manager did not even bother to clean/clear the table to expedite 0 help on choosing the venue for small family get together event 2. The manager was rude .that he was specifically targeting the guests who were late. Such arrogance disgraceful behaviour to guests is not acceptable.

Visited Annalakshmi without a prior booking and was shocked by the lack of hospitality. No greeting upon entry, which is rare for even mid-range restaurants, let alone a high-class one. When I asked for a table, the in-charge bluntly told us to leave if there was no booking, with no empathy or courtesy. Their "Aditi Devo Bhava" motto felt like a joke. Very disappointing experience.

The staff exhibited very wasteful behavior and were rude, lacking basic customer service skills. Please provide them with training. The food was acceptable, but I would not recommend this place.
