I was really skeptical about visiting this restaurant after reading poor reviews on the service and even the valet parking. However, we had a wonderful experience with flawless and really quick service for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We ordered mutton galouti kebab, chicken sheekh kebab, peri peri calamari, thai basil fish, butter garlic prawns, all meat omlette, Kerala fish curry that comes with Malabar paratha, egg fried rice and chilly chicken, chicken dimsum with chilli oil, fettucine with mushroom and chicken in white sauce, pesto chicken sandwich. I have to say that each and every dish was delicious. The main course of fish curry was creamy, slightly tangy with mango. Special mention for the mutton galouti, chicken sheekh and creamy butter prawns. The prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend. hopefully they will not disappoint when we go again!!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner. Fries, Momo in Red Thai Curry, OG cold coffee and red Thai curry with chicken were particularly fabulous. Appreciated that Bask made accommodations for allergies and the service was quick and very polite

Visited Bask by Coffee in Alwarpet for high tea, and it turned out to be a relaxed, indulgent experience overall. We ended up ordering most of their beverages — Spanish latte, cold Milo, cold chocolate, latte, flat white, and a few others. The drinks were well-made, smooth, and consistent, making Bask a solid spot for coffee and cold beverages. That said, a few beverage felt slightly overpriced for the portion sizes. For starters, we tried Madras masala fries, mushroom & cheese dimsums, and paneer bao. The fries and dimsums were tasty and well-seasoned, but the paneer bao was a letdown and didn’t match the rest of the spread. We then moved on to pizzas - All Meat pizza (with lamb, pepperoni, and chicken) and Sicilian chicken pizza. Both pizzas were flavourful, well-baked, and satisfying. To finish on a sweet note, we tried their best-selling churros along with the Bask burnt cheesecake. Service was polite and unhurried. Overall: A good café for high tea, coffee lovers and laid-back conversations.

Myself and my friend visited this place today evening at about 4 pm. We were seated at a corner table for two of us in the indoor seating itself as it was very hot outside even at 4 pm. We loved the ambience which was simplistic and not too grand in beige , pink, brown and grey colors and we also loved their yellow dim lighting. The cafe was quite full and people when we were having our beverages. I felt like having a cold mocha as the heat was still bad, which was quite good but it was slightly watery due to a lot of ice in it. my friend had a cardamom latte and we shared an old fashioned chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream which was really delicious. We were quite full so we didn’t have anything else, just a take away of chocolate brownie which was also delightful. We will be back to try more of the other menu varieties.

Loved the ambience, very calm very relaxing. The food was good I personally loved the thava fry meat it was beautiful, cooked to perfection and was juicy. I personally didn’t like the mojito but the berry drink was worth it . A must visit place.

Loved the food and the ambience in this place. I have been here a few times and in all those times I have noticed the service is a bit iffy. Today, I had ordered food and looks like the person I ordered it from, did not communicate it back properly so the order was never placed. We kept waiting for it and then when asked, they said what order 😅 A bit embarrassing to be honest. They then placed the order and we got the food but yeah, I would expect more from this place.

Warning: Car Damaged While with Valet I want to share a troubling experience to help others be cautious. I handed my car over to the valet and walked into the restaurant, but since there were no available tables, I returned just 5 minutes later—only to find that my tires had been slashed. The valet claimed it must have happened on its own, which didn’t make sense. Later, another valet quietly mentioned that this kind of thing has happened before. While I can’t say for certain who was responsible, it’s extremely concerning that my car was vandalized while in the care of the valet—and even more alarming that this may not be an isolated incident. Until there’s a clear resolution and better security measures in place, I strongly recommend being very cautious about leaving your vehicle with the valet at this location.

Bask was a good hangout spot for all Chennaiites when they initially opened. But recently, the atmosphere has become hostile and extremely unwelcoming. The management has banned playing uno, chess or any other games, the wifi has been stopped, plug points removed and working on laptops not allowed anymore. I guess this was done to ensure people to leave soon and they got what they wanted as I know many who stopped visiting altogether. Their menu is very overpriced, food overrated and coffee downright terrible. Extremely disappointed on how good cafes prioritise endless profits over customer engagement and experience.
