Delhi Dhaba has been around for several years in Chennai yet until recently I haven't dined there. I am given to believe that they have done some remodeling recently and it is a favorite place to visit for my host and his family. The place is wide and clean, with quirky dhaba elements and caricatures of Indian movie stars. We ended up ordering a vegetarian platter to share, and I particularly loved the mushroom and the paneer tikka. The paneer was soft, though it needed a little more marination for the flavours to seep through to the core. For mains we ordered dal, a vegetable jalfrezi and a paneer butter masala, with an assortment of rotis. The vegetable jalfrezi was my absolute favourite, it had a nice punch that went with my tandoori rotis. After the starter platter and the mains, we hardly had any space for dessert, it was a good meal with good company.

Parking 4* Ambience 4* Reception 4* Choice of food 3* Service 4* Speed of service 3* Taste and flavour 4* Value for money 4* Rickshaw in the front, caricatures of Bollywood movie stars, Hindi retro songs etc set the mood for a dhaba dining. Veg manchow soup was of right spice. Malai broccoli was usual stuff. Crispy corn was heavenly. Dal makhani was with mixed - black dhall. Went well with steamed rice and rumali roti. Finally, we gulped down everything with a sweet lime soda. Servers were very polite, helpful and smiling always. Overall, a satisfying dine.

Food was bland, overpriced, and disappointing. Mutton Rogan Josh had poor-quality pieces. Staff were attentive but overall not worth the visit.

Have never eaten such tasteless food! Vegetarians , please be careful , for they have a common tandoor for veg and non veg. Place smelt of meat and ruined our appetite. We ordered galouti kebab, insipid! Chilli panneer that was bland and sweet and honey chilli potato that we couldn't even attempt. The silver lining was the papad and that's it!! In all ,terribly disappointing!!
