Visited Double Dashi in Alwarpet recently and had a really good experience. The restaurant has a cozy modern vibe and feels perfect for a relaxed evening meal. Tried their ramen, gyoza, and a couple of small plates — everything tasted fresh and comforting. The ramen broth was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and the gyoza was honestly one of my favorites. Service was friendly and the staff helped with recommendations too. Presentation and overall ambience were very nice, especially if you enjoy quiet aesthetic cafés/restaurants. Prices are slightly premium, but the quality and experience justify it. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for good Japanese comfort food in Chennai.

May be they can include small medium and large for main course, as I would like to try many dishes, having it alone, makes it but difficult to enjoy every dish to the fullest. otherwise I loved the food, ambience and cleanliness, and service

The vibe was really good but for the amount we paid, It was not worth it. The birria ramen (Veg) was top notch but the black garlic ramen was quite bad.

Actually, the food is good, but getting very so smelly.... posters were great this didn't understand why Vikram vedha poster was there in 1000 of anime posters

Went on my birthday after reading all the great reviews and reels on instagram. We were genuinely excited but the food let us down. Starters and sashimi was ok but the quantity was really less for the price. Coming to the ramen, it was really average. The taste was mediocre badly seasoned and lacked depth. Quite disappointing overall. The prices are way too high for the quality of food served

Food was a bit disappointing… it couldve been more flavourful. I understand that the palate here is Japanese / Asian but honestly it was disappointing. Prawn tempura was dripping in oil and idk dude, for the money I paid I do not think the food that I had was worth it. Could do better

Service was the only saving grace. Ramen was very mediocre. Fusion flavours did not work. Not worth the hype. You can get way better Japanese food in other places.

Place was dirty and cramped. Staff were ok. Ramen was hot. But flavourless (tonkatsu). Salad was ok. The taco was awful. Drinks were ok
