Fufu is definitely one of those places that's worth visiting if you're looking to try something beyond the usual Asian fare. We visited for lunch and had a wonderful overall experience. We started with the Chili Crisp Chicken Dumplings and the Crispy Orange Chicken. Both starters were delicious and packed with flavor. The dumplings were especially enjoyable, though I felt the portion could be slightly more generous. At four pieces, they felt a little less for the price, and adding one more dumpling would make the serving feel more worthwhile. The Crispy Orange Chicken, on the other hand, had a generous portion and was perfect for sharing between two people. For the mains, we ordered the Indonesian Chicken Rendang with Jasmine Rice and the Japanese Chicken Omurice. The rendang was rich, aromatic and incredibly flavorful, pairing perfectly with the fragrant jasmine rice. The standout dish for me, however, was the Japanese Chicken Omurice. It was my first time trying it, and I absolutely loved it. The flavors came together beautifully, the portion was generous enough for two people, and it was easily the highlight of the meal. To finish, we tried the Choco Orange Cake. While the portion size was generous and easy to share, it was the only dish that didn't work for me. The chocolate and orange combination felt a bit overpowering, and the concentrated orange sauce poured over the cake didn't complement the dessert as well as I had expected. If you enjoy experimenting with unique flavor combinations, it may still be worth trying, but it wasn't to my personal taste. The ambience was warm, stylish and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal. The service was attentive and pleasant throughout, which added to the overall experience. Overall, Fufu delivered a memorable dining experience with excellent food, great ambience and good service. Apart from the dessert and the slightly small dumpling portion, everything else exceeded expectations. I'd definitely visit again to explore more of their menu.

The mango coconut and milo boba teas were not too sweet. The tempura calamari was well done but not over done. The omurice was well cooked and there was enough for 2 people. The star was the prawn xiaolongbao and the Srilankan crab dumplings which were both melt in the mouth.

Had a fantastic evening here! The drinks were beautifully crafted and well-balanced, and the ambiance was top-notch. Such a great spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommend❤️

Their Omurice was really good. And we also tried other foods from their menu. It was interesting and the ambience was great

Went to Fufu in Chennai after hearing insane hype and because I genuinely love Asian food. My sister and I were dreaming about this meal for a week… turns out we should’ve just kept dreaming. We ordered the soup dim sums, prawn skewers, vegetable rainbow maki, smoked salmon sushi, and bibimbap. The prawn skewers were the only thing that showed up ready to impress, everything else felt like it forgot why it was invited. Service was super quick and attentive, and the ambiance is lovely, great lighting for the Instagram posts that will hide your disappointment. But the food? Sadly underwhelming(just like the quantity), especially for the price. It was also my mom’s birthday, so we really wanted this to be special, instead we walked out wondering if we should stop for biryani on the way home. Maybe it was an off day, or maybe the hype is just louder than the flavours.

Was here a month ago and was so impressed. But I went back today with my parents who are well over 70 and my daughter who is 7. I was turned away with little consideration despite the time being 2.48 pm and their opening hours saying they’re open till 3.30. Not going back solely for the sheer indifference they show to old people.

Absolutely disappointing. We were served what tasted like pre-made sushi, which is just unacceptable at any decent Asian restaurant. The soup dumplings were even worse - the “soup” came in a tiny katori and weren’t inside the dumpling??? completely defeating the purpose. I know my Asian food and this is easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Chennai seriously needs to step up its game.
