Golden Dragon is, in my opinion, one of the very few places in Chennai that serves an exceptional Peking Duck. The last memorable one I had was in Singapore, and honestly, Golden Dragon managed to surpass it. The duck is available in half and full portions, with a waiting time of about 30 - 40 minutes worth every minute if you’re after the best. We began with the pan-fried chilli fish, perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, generously portioned and ideal for two. For dessert, we went with the sticky toffee pudding paired with litchi ice cream, and wrapped up the evening with a pot of jasmine tea aka our very own mallipoo tea 😉 The final bill came to around ₹3,000, which is expected when dining at one of Chennai’s top luxury hotels. Instead of focusing on the price, it’s worth appreciating the consistent quality, hospitality, and overall experience they offer to every guest. A place you return to, not just for the food but for how it makes you feel.

One of the best places for Chinese. We visited this Sunday and I must thank chef Venkat for being so accommodative . We were a group of three people with three different food restrictions. One with blood sugar issues and could not eat most veggies and sauces, another with dairy restriction and the third person with sensitivity to spice. Chef Venkat and team took time to understand the restrictions and prepared food as per our choice and taste. They also made special sauce with no sugar and less spice to go with our starters. When a dedicated team serves you hot and fresh food, the meal becomes special automatically. Kudos to the team for helping us out. We will visit again!

OMG, it was really good experience I had at Golder Dragon last night... My favourite prawns are always out of the world and I welcome the new tongue watering menus as well...A perfect to fill your stomach and relax your mind...I really need to give a hi5 to the Steward Mr.Benjamin for his welcoming attitude and service. On the whole I would always happy to give a 5 stars...

Wow..!! Amazing hospitality..! Best in class in many ways..- food is top notch, Also, when I told them that I am alone and don’t want to waste, the server suggested a dish and provided a portions of rice complementary. I found the food being top notch..! The service was quick and prompt.! I left with a big smile on my face. Thank you Taj..!

I came here with my wife and daughter. The food was beyond our expectations! Especially the clear noodles soup, I loved it. The ambience is very good as well it gives good vibe while eating. Hospitality is also very good. If I could in zomato, I will give this place 10 stars.

The Mongolian beef is THE BEST beef you’ll have in the city! Lotus stem honey chilli was also superb. Mr. Pandian took care of us really well. We keep coming back and they keep surprising us with extraordinary dishes. Thank you Taj for this!

Visited this place on Easter night and was craving for Chinese. This place served one of the best Chinese dishes in class. Liked their ambience obviously it's Taj!! We ordered prawns for starter and it was just drooling in my mouth, I loved it. Also dumplings were really amazing. For main course fried rice and kung pao chicken, which did not taste great for me. As usual being a star hotel it was super expensive. Overall it was good

After dining at various take out restaurants where the cook is like you see in old chinese jackie chan movies one would think that taj chinese gold dragon will offer authentic chinese food. i think from my experience the dishes have authentic rare chinese name -mi sui, zhao, these you dont find in the typical street corner chinese restaurants. After TCS consulting spread their office to Asia Taj definitely picked these rare names which is splattered across the menu card. But spices and cook/chef are all indian fellas. same goes for their lounge bar some rameshwaram cook (probably known to President Adbul kalam )s is frying prawns but giving some western names. overall dissappointed. .

Very bad experience. We were a group of two couples with a kid each. We opted for the set menu. We were billed Rs 21,000/-. But the food was not at all worth it and the service was pathetic. They refused to repeat the starters and the main course was nothing exquiste. We ended up paying such a high bill for food that any down the road restaurant could have made. To add up they weren't even accomodative of the kids. Every meal took an eternity to come. We started our meal at 7:30 but ended only at 11. Has Taj coramandel realy lost it?

Very very average tasting food. No dish - neither the appetizers nor the main course items - impressed. Avoid the disappointment.
