Firstly the seating was.. interesting. They ask you to take off your shoes and clamber into these cubicles where the tables are at floor level and your feet go under. Might not be ideal for seniors though. And the menu... omg, you need a study class to even navigate it. It's more of a time. I think it had like 50 pages crammed with items. But they didn't disappoint. We got a seafood salad, salmon maki, curry udon and the Mapu Tofu. The seafood both in the salad and sushi was super fresh. My brother isn't a big sea food fan but even he was surprised at how fresh the fish was. The waiter warned us that the Mapu Tofu would be sweet but it was actually fabulous. We just couldn't stop scooping up big spoonfuls. And the curry udon was great too. Though we could hardly finish it since the portions are quite generic. All in all it was a great meal.

✨ True Taste of Japan in Chennai! 🇯🇵 Absolutely loved my visit to Hokkaido! They welcomed us with a warm cup of green tea, which was such a comforting start. Tried the Beef Yakiniku Don and Tempura Udon. Both were packed with flavour and perfectly balanced. The beef was super tender, and the udon broth was rich and satisfying. Bonus points for the live sushi counter, it was amazing to watch the chefs roll out fresh sushi right in front of us! The ambience was calm, minimalistic, and so inviting. Great food, great vibe and highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine! 🥢💯

One of the OG Japanese spots in Chennai that is situated in the heart of the city. Famous for their fresh and exotic meat. We went there for dinner and the place was quiet and calm. We ordered many dishes and they were all served soon. Kudos to their service. Their sushi is a must try and the beef was so tender and well cooked. The katsu curry with rice and their salmon aburi spicy roll are a must try. A must try place if you're into Japanese cuisine.

the California sushi was AMAZING! You'd never realise there's raw meat in it. the ebi tempura is a must try too! loved the maguro nigiri too! The ambience was just bright and peaceful and the service was too notch! Can't want to go back to try their other sushis! Highly recommend!

This place had a unique Japanese-style table setting. They have an extensive menu with a variety of dishes, but they didn’t have any ramen noodles. Here’s what we ordered for lunch: Cheese omuretsu - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beef teriyaki - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ebi tempura - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Baked oysters - ⭐️⭐️ Niniku rice - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Noodles/nabe - ⭐️ Except for the noodles and oysters, everything else was good. The food presentation was disappointing, they just served cucumbers and a big slice of tomato with every dish.
