Hot breads have been one bakery shop that I have been visiting since my childhood. I still have memories of my grandpa taking me to the hot breads- Adyar outlet and buying me fresh cakes and breads. About this particular hot breads tambaram outlet, I felt the place is quite small and the ambience could have been better. I went today and picked up some stuffs from this outlet. The breads made at hot breads are one of my favourites. Be it the normal milk bread, bun, croissants or the rolls I would always love to pick it up from here. The sandwich bread needs a special mention cause I haven't found another place in chennai that serves better sandwich breads than hot breads. You get fresh and tasty breads here! Since I was in a full pastry spree today, I also picked up some cakes and puffs too. The chocolate truffle was delicious. Had the right consistency, the sweetness and everything. The strawberry gateau was a bit hard. I wished the cake was a bit more fluffier but on the brighter side the cream was spot on. The pineapple cake at hot breads is the best (must eat!!).The chicken puffs weren't that great. They had to concentrate more on the filling-maida ratio cause I felt it had very less chicken and filling. I had once ordered a birthday cake from the same outlet and it was also good. Hope they open an outlet in east tambaram near Camproad so I can visit their place more often! :)

This place has really good cakes but are priced a little on expensive side. Haven't tried anything other than cakes. They also accept orders via phone call. I ordered an Irish coffee cake, which had good flavour and sponginess.
