One of the best biriyanis ever.  This is more than a 50 year old restaurant. I've seen this since i was a kid. Love the biriyanis (Especially Chicken Mogul and Mutton) with the gravy they give along with Chilli chicken and Garlic Fish. Fantastic taste. Their parotta's are awesome too. Love all their menus! To end things i have a fabulous special tea. Please note how much ever you eat, your tummy is never heavy and that's a testament to their quality

Never left Purasaiwalkam without having lunch/dinner from here...

Been visiting this place since I was a kid to have their famous Madras egg parotta and Ceylon egg parotta. I’m glad the taste hasn’t changed. The quantity they serve is also good. From the outside, it might look like a tiny fast food. But when you walk in you’ll realize the dimly lit narrow halls crammed with as many tables as you can possibly imagine. And the surprising thing is that it’s always full. People keep coming back for its distinct taste and quality. And not to forget it’s prompt service. However, parking might be an issue.

I have been going to this hotel when I was 7yrs old...... And I always enjoy eating there..... But after opening that savarana store.... The hotel changed completely..... Why they r charging more money for the food than the actual price???.....really unfair people.... Though the taste and quantity of the food has been becoming a little worst... Than in past..... And when I was eating there a family said totally waste of money....

The rating is only for the packaging. The food was so stale and the meat was uncooked. Over all tasted extremely bad. No salt no spice nothing.

I haven't met such arrogant staff elsewhere in Chennai in the past 5 yrs I have been here..they treat their customers like shit..there is a successful dress store nearby so they think tht they can treat the customers the way they want because they will have enough customers no matter what..there is an AC room as well as a non AC room for customers ..they treat the people who are sitting inside the ac rooms little better than the ones who sit outside(according to them the ones who sit outside are worthless to take their shitty behaviour).if there was a zero star I would have given you that

I am talking about deccaan hotel just near saravana store, puraivskkam.In biriyani mutten and chicken was not prepared in a proper way. It was seemed just boiled in a water and mixed with biriyani rice. Waterish gravy. Normal taste Waste of money. Arrogant talking of cashier. No social distances followed.

Worst ever restaurant I been, I found cockroach on in my first order through Zomato. No higine. Worth less. Never recommend. Please avoid this restaurant.
