Nice ambience and very polite staffs, who mostly seem to enjoy what they are doing. A decent family restaurant. My favourite is 'Idiyappam with the white kurma', the taste of which has not changed for more than 25 years now. Food price has come down very much off-late and much affordable now.  Lack of adequate parking facility is a big drawback. Value for money? Hmm.... not that great-a 3-star would suffice.

We were here only for some juices. Parking is non existent. With GST, the prices are now pumped up and having a mango and musk melon juice for 230 rs seems a bit pricey.

Extremely disappointed when I came back to this restaurant for dinner which was such a legendary outlet during my childhood. I was for a rude shock when I saw the restaurant, it was so empty which was not the case during my childhood times as it would be so full. I was so eager to order 14 idly and sambar which was one of there USP items during those times. I was so disappointed when I saw the idly and sambar that they had given. Sambar was full of water which used to be very thick and ghee with coriander leaves sprinkled on top of it, this time nothing was there. I thought at least the taste would not disappoint me but I was wrong. I could not complete the same and I did not want to kill the taste that I use to have it on my mind and just left the place without fully completing. Tea was just average which used to be very thick and filling and the quantity also would be more on those times but that also they had reduced. Utter dissatisfied. Just a request from a fan to the management from childhood times. Please look at the present reality and the state of the condition of the restaurant in the present times and please try to improve and bring back the past glory and don't rely on past glory.

Used to love this place; have grown up eating 14 idli here but the last few visits have been disappointing. Not sure what happened but things have changed. The taste has deteriorated and the service was always average at best. Hopefully recovers it's old taste and glory.

Run of the mill restaurant. Dropped in for breakfast. Idli vada sambar and poori masala. None of the dishes were hot. The service boy was pleasant and that’s the positive from the experience. I think it’s overpriced. Parking isn’t an issue

Look at the image what i found in the food which was ordered from here. This is the last time i had my food and good bye to this resturant. I had a food after few seconds i noticed this worm inside the brinjal poriyal. Thats completly pathetic and inhygienic. Its very harmfull to our health. Eating the road side food is 1000 times better than eating it from here. They call there self as veg resturant but look they serve non veg meals with worms..😂😂😂😂... fooling the people and charging high for the food as they call it is hygenic. Who else is still happy to eat from here.

We had ordered 2 strong filter coffees without sugar. The staff served us very light filter coffee and very sugary as well. When we asked them to change they said they ran out of coffee decoction at 9 am on a Sunday morning. Which is highly unbelievable. Pathetic service and ruined my memories of Chennai.

In application menu available list and order received list totally different. In menu list cut fruits they mentioned but , in that received order it's not available. Don't cheat the people's. And food quantity also very low but cost 193. For 193 totally waste. Quantity wise too low.

My worst experience with any restaurant in Chennai... waited for more than 40 mins and had to leave without eating. The staff is irresponsible and honestly don’t care about the restaurants reputation. Bad maintenance and negligent management. Sorry to see a legacy fade away!!!

We ordered food from Saravana bhavan after along time and we are quite disappointed with the order.. food is not upto the mark in terms of taste and portion size
