Filter Coffee + Dosa + Pongal . A good morning walk by the marina beach & a kickass breakfast at Saravana - absolutely fulfilling. . For whatever it has been maintaining through, I think the legacy is still continuing. . Filter Coffee - they were generous enough to reheat the coffee when asked. . Dosa tasted / went much better with the coconut Chutney & sambar. . Pongal - unparallel, I literally had two plates inspite of a low appetite . Food - 4.7/5 Ambience - 3/5 (regular) Value for money - 4.5/5

Went there a bit late for lunch along with my colleague. Ambiance is plain and sit and eat tables and chairs. Ordered their ghee roast and masala dosa. Taste is okay though the crispiness associated with ghee roast was missing. Okay place.

Overly priced and quality bad. Mini-tiffin is Rs.157 !!!! Not so tasty. No pepper, ghee, dhal, jeera in pongal. Mini Idly was like stones. Dosai was hard. Vadai was too oily.. For this price, it should be 3-star or 4-star rated hotel but it is 1-star quality.. very disappointed and please revive the legacy of HSB. !!!

Not a great place for breakfast. The mini breakfast combo i took had mini idli. The idli were hard and i felt like it was not fresh. The coffee served was also not good. The food deserves only 1 star. The other star is for it being open early in the morning

Happen to bump into this place while i was in that area and it was a decent experience. The food is decent and service is ok. Price is on the steep side and definitely expected a lot more from this place.

We were 4 and late at that night around 11 when we found this restaurant open. We ordered Two Ghee roast and Two Masala dosa. First the waiter brought 3 dosas saying two Ghee roast and one masala dosa, said he need to bring one more Masala dosa. Handed over one Ghee roast to the first friend and I took a Ghee roast and one Masala dosa to the second friend. My fourth friend was waiting for his masala dosa. I doubted the dosa given to me was heavy and saw the one given to me was Masala dosa so I gave it to the fourth friend. My friends started eating. Here, I thought the waiter was mistaken on telling the dosa type whilst he kept it on the table. Later the waiter came and brought me dosa and realised it too was Masala dosa again. And we reported it to the waiter that he had brought three masala dosa and a ghee roast instead of two, two in each. He told us that previously what he gave me was ghee roast but they added masala to it. At that time my fourth friend to whom I gave my what they called Ghee dosa with Masala ate half of it already thinking that it was normal Masala dosa. I returned the Masala dosa that came to me and asked for Ghee roast. Then He brought me the Ghee Roast. This is the time I could smell the real Ghee. Meanwhile my first friend after finishing his half also realized that he too got Masala dosa instead of Ghee roast. We complained again, he said that too was ghee roast with added masala. We informed the waiter that only mine had ghee smell and the rest 3 didn't have any pinch of Ghee smell. But anyways we decided to eat, ordered another one set idly, one maaza bottle and completed it. The bill came with Rs. 601. I was stunned! They have charged for 3 Ghee Roast and one Masala dosa! Because my fourth friend to whom I gave my dosa was taken on the bill as Ghee Roast too! Only my dosa had ghee and the rest didn't have but was charged against what they had given! We have clearly mentioned the mistake was from their side and they couldn't charge us extra for their mistakes!. We didn't argue much as it was already late night, they had to shut it down and so we decided to pay the bill and told what they did was completely wrong and went away. I have decided not to visit this place again. Had a really bad experience with overcharging in Santhome branch restaurant.

Do not visit this place, as they are adding bicarbonate soda, to make your tummy full soon and you won't even get hungry for the next meal. Not sure when they are gonna stop this practice, which has been followed for years

Worst service by such and popular names restaurant. Went with family and no waiter had come to acknowledge us. They didn't serve the water nor they took the order. Felt insulted and left restaurant without having dinner.

Very poor service my staffs. Complaint it to manager and even he didn't listen to our complaint properly. Sat on table and it had been more than 20mins no one had come to even take the order and serve the water

Very bad , very high cost for all items don't visit hotel. Not tasty to eat . Better eat outside in road food it's better than this food items
