We visited Jolly Indian restaurant for lunch today at about 1 pm. We loved the rustic and olden days India ambience in red, grey and beige hues. We both loved the idea of the make believe pan shop with pass pass, peanut chiki and mango candy to the guests and one can take them before they leave the place or whenever one would prefer . the tamil slang language also mentioned in paint on one side of the wall with a lot caricature added . On the far end left side was the beverages counter which was also very aesthetically done. And they have created a a look similar to about eighteen years back that is STD and ISD phone as soon as one enters and on the right side wall is also very appealing with caricatures and tamil slang often used. On one side type writers and also the olden days landline phone had been kept for nostalgia. We also loved the elephant designs on the ceilings near the chandeliers and also on the sofa seats. Coming to what we ordered, for beverages I ordered Nanari Sharbath which was delicious, and my husband ordered Gulli Shour , which was sugarcane juice with orange and tamarind mixed in it. For starters we shared crispy papdi paneer. It was very crispy and tasty. For the main course we ordered lachha paratha , Malabar paratha , egg curry and a new dish with peas and mustard oil. All the dishes were really good. Naveen, our waiter was very polite and friendly and recommended some good dishes to us. Coming to our dessert which was highly recommended by Naveen we decided to go for shahi tukda which was amazing too. All in all a very unique restaurant and we had a great experience. We will surely visit again to try more of the menu options !

Not worth the hype created by influencers as usual. The place has been designed tastefully to match Pan indian audience. Food need not be super rich, it should be tasting as it is and people will definitely like it. Price: Exhorbitant

Ambiance is Nice but food is not that great. Not worth the high price. They need to work on the quality and quantity if they want customers to return.

I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. Our order was not delivered on time, and the final part of the order arrived much later than expected. By the time it was delivered, the food was completely cold instead of being served hot and fresh. This level of service was not what we expected. Delayed delivery and cold food significantly affected our dining experience. I hope the restaurant improves its delivery process and ensures that customers receive their orders on time and at the proper temperature.
