I had eyed on this restaurant a long time back but as I couldn’t get right people to go, I seemed to have postponed the plan forever. Finally, it happened on a wee day lunch. The location has now been changed and its low profile than the previous one, but it doesn’t stop the regulars from coming. Almost everyone present there were Malayalee’s except us. That shows the authenticity of the restaurant. We ordered Parotta or as they call it, Poratha first along with Beef Roast. I initially thought Beef Roast would be a dry dish like BDF but it was not. The waiter explained that it’d be a semi gravy dish. As my friends wanted one, we chose the same. It was perfect with Poratha. In fact, just the look of it got me satisfied, the taste too was top notch. My Parottayum Beefum dream came true finally. Next up we had Karimeen Pollichathu which was slight costly for four hundred and fifty rupees but tasted top notch. It was brilliantly done, and I couldn’t stop drooling over it. Finally we had Mutton Biryani, which we shouldn’t have ordered because I knew it wouldn’t be to my taste. That means it was authentic. Anyways for such a great food, it didn’t burn a hole in our pocket. I’d definitely try to visit the restaurant again and have meals.

Kuttanad is one of the restaurants in Chennai which serves Authentic Kerala food . I personally love the Kerala food here coz the Coconut oil wasnt overpowering which is common in most of the restaurants..Puttu - Coconut shavings topped puttu drives crazy with its hot steam.the puttu was soft and tender wasnt chewy.Kadala curry - the kadala curry had a good portion sufficient for 2 and the gravy was filled with mild flavors .it made a good combo to the puttu.Pichipota Chicken - Finely cut chicken along with coconut and spices. this was a fusion of Chicken Kothukari with a Malabar Punch..Vfm- 5/5Tastometer- 4.5/5

This is an old school Kerala restaurant which serves super authentic Kerala style food. I’ve been here multiple times throughout the years! Personally, I love the egg appam, chicken roast, squid roast, thalassery biryani, beef curry and they have good Chinese items too surprisingly.. beef noodles and chilli chicken is really good.

For onasadhya, I landed here. Not only was the food really delicious, the variety ample, the servers were very warm and welcoming and the interiors were humble.

I recently got a chance to visit this authentic kerala restaurant.I had veg meals along with a plate of beef dry fry.The pricing of the food is exceptional and the veg meals is priced merely at ₹85 but the quality is amazing. The matta rice with sambar is a breathtaking combination...along with papad, pickle, mooru, kootucurry and thoran. Well taking about the porotta and beef,i must say it was good but not exceptionally good. The beef was spicy but was not tender and was a little bit tough. Overall it was a good visit and would like to recommend all the southern cuisine lovers. They also have varieties of fish, chicken, mutton nd beef preparations.

Sometimes the simplest of places dish out the most satisfying meal! This turned out to be very true at Kuttanad Restaurant when wifey and I checked it out for lunch. I’ve been here a few times, quite long ago. Its a very basic place, not a fine dine restaurants. The moment you see the prices on the menu, you’ll realize that even more vividly.

R and I really enjoyed the food here and the price that accompanied it :) the parottas were really good. We ordered the roast beef gravy and the kuttanad special chicken curry. We loved the food.. The payasam was bit sweet . All in all a good experience.

I used to enjoy the food here but recently on a Saturday evening the place was like a community gathering, they were serving only the keralites and were totally ignoring the other customers, having their restaurant running in Chennai and ignoring the non keralites was shockingly racist. Will never go back to this place. They definitely lack basic ethics.

Contaminated food - biryani tasted disaster, smelly fish dish and the staff is pretending that it’s nothing and it’s good,in the name chicken varathiyathu they gave some heavy chilli loaded one. Over hype Not worth a visit
