I went with my family on a weekday for dinner. We had Ghee dosa, Sambar vada and Sambar idly. The taste was good and the service and the rates were decent. The ambience was okay and I did not find anything special. They could have done some extra work to make the ambience a little special for the price we pay. It would attract more customers and also give a good dining experience

One of the worst restaurants we ever visited. They cannot provide something as basic as idly after 7 pm. Only dosas were available. Don't waste ur money on soups. The quantity of single soup is less than the quantity of 1/2 soups in other restaurants. The taste was one of the worst. Please remove lemon coriander from your menu. They served lemon and salt Water in the name of lemon coriander soup. Strictly avoid it. Strictly avoid north indian dishes. In the name of schezhwan fried rice they gave us red chilli fried rice. Pulav tasted like Jira rice. Few positives were taste of dosai was good along with sambhar and chutneys. Avoid this restaurant and goto some better place in food court of phoenix.

Conveniently located in the phoenix mall and the first choice for the mall visitors who would like to avoid the chaos of the packed food court on the top floor. Vasantha Bhavan was, in many ways my favourite vegetarian restaurant in those days when the Saravanas and Sangeethas ruled Chennai. This branch at phoenix city mall comes across as over priced and gets wrong in the very signature South Indian fare that no one must and can. Coffee is watery, lukewarm and priced at 85/- Dosai is White and just lacks the visual appeal. Menu card served as a decorative piece and half the items were unavailable. Absence of AC, cold water bottle - further dampened the experience.

Since it famous South Indian restaurant chain, always crowded. The price is so high compared to other branches. Service also needs improvement.

One of the WORST foods served. Had high regard to Vasantha Bhavan food quality. And I didn't order anything out of blue plain and simple Business Meals. Worst Biryani, cold tasteless, bisibella bath not even sure how to describe the taste 🤮. Ordered Parotta Kurma and that turned out to be disastrous. The manager was least bothered about any review 🧐 Vasantha Bhavan management has to seriously take these reviews and ensure their Brand is not going down the drain.

If there was a rating below 1, I would have given tat just for the way they answer to customers. After 10 min of wait we had to argue with the manager to get a person to take order.... And they don't feel bad or apologize for such a late service... Most of the items were not available at 9.30pm ... They are actually priced high and absolutely no value.... Will never recommend this place everafter....

Very very worst behavior by staff…. They just shouting on Customers and not even listening what Customer asks for. Never seen such a worst anywhere recently and it’s the top of all…

Very rude unprofessional manager. For any food related queries you can expect a rude answer.If they dont respect customers, in another 5 to 10 years,there wont be vasantha bhavan.

I wish there was an option to give 0 / - stars. Horrible service and poor taste of food. Please never ever have this hotel as an option even when you starve.
