This place is roughly around 200 m away from the Chennai central station or say close to the B5 Chennai Central Metro entrance. A good spot if you’re craving for some parotta and chicken! I seriously have no idea how many we had, the Chicken Biryani was average. The Royal Falooda that they have is actually good but the national special Falooda wasn’t that great. It was okish along with this, we also had the caramel pudding which was pretty bad! The part that I myself got confused was when I ordered for the Kadai chicken but then what I got was not Chicken gravy. It was I felt it was more like a fish curry with chicken pieces in it 😒 The service is pretty slow.. It took roughly around 15 minutes to get a veg korma. Overall budget friendly spot

*writing this review in a Hyderabadis perspective!! If you travel to Chennai by train you should not miss this amazing place right next to Chennai central station..!! National durbar is an old rustic Muslim restaurant that gives you the feels of Alfa hotel in secunderabad.. they are famous for their Lassi, falooda, Paya and biryani. The best part was seeing osmania biscuits sold there which are sourced from Hyderabad 😁 biryani was Chennai style and good..had double egg and huge piece of chicken which was sufficient for one person comfortably. The Lassi was not like Hyderabadi style but was decent to cool you down. Do not expect much hygiene or parking space..grab a quick parcel if possible!!

I bought one half Mutton Pepper Chops & Mutton Kuruma on Friday. The price of the food is nominal but the quantity & quality of the food is below average. The packed food had very less number of Mutton pieces and that too full of bones. The Taste of the food wasn't good.  I'd a very good experience at the last time but the servants were new this time. I am really worried that, the authentic place will go of if they do business like this

I walked almost a kilometer after seeing good rating on the app. However place is not even close to how it is presented. No food option for North India and only one vegetarian food item is availabile for breakfast at 8.15am.

I have been a regular visitor of this restuarant, recently I visited this place on 28/05/2022 with family expecting a good service but amm my hopes were dashed.. To start of with the plates were literally thrown on the table before they started serving the food, then we told our order and insisted the waiter to write it down but he was so arrogant that he know what he is doing and as expected only few dishes came and others were left out.. Again we had to place order for the left out ones and had to wait for it.. Even for a glass of water we literally had to beg for it. Withing 20 mins inside the hotel the way we were treated, i decided that am done. So i asked them to pack the food so that i can go back home and eat food in peace, the waiter showed attitude and started murmuring as if i asked food for free. I blasted them and waited for the food to be packed .. To my surprise i asked them to pack 6 different dishes and i received only 3 of those, when asked i was told that chicken noodles, fried rice and paneer rice was mixed together and was packed.. Not sure who ll ever do this.. When complained to the management they never bothered to take any corrective action and all they told was they were understaffed and if they shout at them they ll leave the job.. So more than customers o understood all they want is money. And thats how my weekend was ruined.. Not just mine , the wholenl family including kids had a nightmare in DARBAR

I generally don’t leave bad reviews or comments online. However I had visited here and had a biriyani and falooda. Falooda was good but everything else was bad. 1. Chicken in chicken biriyani had blood inside the which meant it was poorly cleansing before cooking it. 2. All utensils used here are old and when I happen to peek inside the wash area they were dipping used plates inside an old water tank and keeping it aside. 3. Table hygiene is a joke. 4. There are legendary restaurants that develop after the initial hype. This restaurant however is going to the ditch. Save yourselves !
